If it will help anyone looking for a '19 Convertible for the Spring/Summer, I have had a few inquiries from this thread but no one has put a deposit down.......

I have a '19 F-Type V6 Convertible, delivery Mid-May, fully amendable for the next 5 days if anyone is interested in securing it before I lock in the configuration for stock.

Mike

Here is what I got!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Karim

I understand you are very excited about the Jaguar that you always wanted to own and I'm very sorry that we don't have any allocations for the 2019 Jaguar F-Type at this time. I'll be more then happy to let you know as soon as we can place a new order for you. And Please be advise once we place a new order it'll takes about three to four months delivery time. Please feel free to contact Jaguar owner's inquiries at 1-800 637-6837 Ext 9 for further information and let me know if you have any questions.

Best Regards
-----------------------------------------------------------
It's a weekend car for me, so I'll continue to be patient.

Lot's of folks have bought their cars clear across the country. Choices are fly and drive home or to auto-transport it.

Default Using USA Website to Build a 2019 F-Type

Hi Gang,

On March 5th I sent an email to Jaguar USA asking when they would update their webpages so people could build a 2019.

I received this response today:
we simply do not have a date this will be available at this time. I regret any inconvenience this may cause.
Hopefully their actual car building group is more organized than their website group.

Mildly annoyed,
Bill

So I know it's not as nice as the build your own tool, but this might help you configure a '19:

Thank you for the guide. Fascinating reading. I wish I was in the market for a new F. It would be a kick to get exactly what I wanted. I am particularly looking forward to the SVO color palette although I expect the pricing with be astronomical*. I was wondering, is it more frustrating to buy or sell Jags.

(I guess $8,500 is reasonably astronomical.)

Heh, just for fun, I did a build on the Land Rover website for a LWB Range Rover - the two tone SVO paint option (black top half, metallic orange bottom half) was $24,000(!) (for no apparent reason, could have it all in the same metallic orange for a fraction of that). So $8500 doesn't seem so bad...

Interesting thread. Just visited two jaguar dealers this past weekend. One in NJ and the other in Penn to look at a F-type R 5 liter. When i discussed ordering they claimed not to have any information on 2019s and didn't know when you could order, but they could order 2018s.

I love the cars, but the Jaguar dealers need upgrading

Sorry to say but they cannot order 2018's. They can locate a 2018 but production has ended. In fact, there are no more allocations coming out for 2019 F-Types, the next order call will be for 19.5MY and is expected to be in April for production in June, delivery around September.

Hi Mike, what is a 19.5MY? Is it different from a 19M?
Thanks,
Frank

Frank,

We don't have those details yet and it would not be appropriate for me to speculate, but typically the 1/2 year models from JLR involve misc. improvements to the model, nothing drastic.

I was told late this afternoon that MY19 allocations had been assigned one to each dealer. If they didn't accept the allocation that might explain why they are not able to get you one.

Mike,
I am positive I do not understand this business model. How can you, as a dealer, survive with an allocation of only one? The same question whether that allocation is for one year, one month or even one week.

Kind of odd the the Jaguar USA website and configurator has yet to be updated for MY19 cars (of any model, not just F-Types) but the MY19 order book is closed almost before it opened...

My dealer keeps telling me, I'm first in his list, so could he have possibly gotten zero allocations, I'm with Unhinged, can't make for good business sense.

I'll second, where is all the F type Production going?
