Default Any wisdom on these brake pads ?

Seems EBC makes a ceramic pad for our F-Types. Low Dust, no squeal. Sounds like just what my 2014 V8 S needs. Had many many sports cars, this is the worst relative to brake dust. The best in other aspects.

Also need advice as to disabling the electronic parking brake for rear pad replacement.

EBC redstuff front p/n DP32191C
Rear p/n DP32192C
Thanks Guys

At the end of this document, there's info on activating/deactivating EPB Maintenance Mode...

And I believe someone else has discussed those pads in another thread recently. Try searching.

Correction: previous discussion was for posi-quiets not EBC. Here's a bit of EBC discussion; don't know if anyone has actually tried them yet.

I had EBC Red on my Jaguar XFR and was very happy with them, seemed to be less dust and less initial grabbiness than stock pads. When it comes time to replace my F-Type pads, I will take another look at these....

I just replaced my pads, the epb does not engage when the car is shut off. It is just a pita to wind in the rear caliper.

Depends on the model year, but you're right, on his 2014, it shouldn't automatically engage. Maintenance mode is supposed to wind in the caliper so you don't have to.

I'm definitely interested in hearing how they work out. Loved ceramic pads on my previous xkr (akebono) - hoping for solution for the ftype brake dust storm.

I know OEM pads are dusty, but this is least bad alternative. In the past, on my similarly dusty BMW I tired ceramics. They were really noisy since new and killed rotors in a year. At that point I tossed them and went back to regularly cleaning rims. YMMV.

CaptainDavid, it's well past June and I need to know how they're working out for you. I love my F-Type, but it constantly crapping on itself is a real drag and I don't enjoy cleaning my car.

Several of us have installed the porterfield R4S pads - much better dust wise
