The masking tape was a terrific idea, except for those who decide after a month or so, they'd rather put the badges back on.

You can always take pictures and measurements, or make a template out of car stock. The extra badge that comes with Volvo's Polestar tune comes with templates for placement. Those are relative to the other emblems, but I'm sure something could be devised.

Just spray paint the area around the badges before you remove them. Once they are off you can see exactly where there is no paint and replace them if you want later...

I went the same route as the CX-16 concept car (only the leaper left), I figure that's how it should have been before the marketing guys got ahold of it. I find it a lot cleaner this way.

Even more Awesome and without the annoyingly and visually distractive rear plate...

I don't think I'd get too far with the plate on the back here in TX...

Looks great with a topless, or as a coupe... I have an IRR and was thinking of blacking out the badges... I just might remove them. I think this looks really sexy!

I've been debating whether I want to black out the badges or remove them. Still leaning towards blacking them out, but that car does look amazing.

I don't know how you get away with that anywhere.

Have you considered whiting them out? No idea how that would look.

I have seen a couple photos of the white out badges. Not really my thing, but they'd probably look good on a dark car. For me though, I'd probably stay with chrome over white.

In all my years of watching car forums, it's always the SoCal guys who say that. I don't car how "big" they are, you'll have a miserable life trying no rear plate anywhere on the east coast.

Very true.... I'm in SoCal and never run a rear plate, just a dead plate with my buddy's shop logo. For me it's less about ******** size, rather that I've been able to get away with it for so long.

I dont have an F-Type yet but here is my 2012 XKR with LED headlights....No leaper, I had to replace the original 2012 spoiler with the drilled in leaper and they ordered one that did not have holes..AWESOME!!!, Previous owner took care of XK for me It came with original R badge... I think it looks clean...lets those who know its a SC version but nothing else... People break their necks trying to figure out what kind of car it is.

I have been considering debadging since before I took delivery... Today as I was detailing I found this...

I guess the car itself wanted to be debadged!

After seeing this picture - I went directly into the garage to inspect mine.

My J is abnormally loose as well.

I've been wanting to remove the "Jaguar" & "F-Type" off the rear ...uncertain about the R badge.

Looks like I'll be doing some de-badging later this afternoon.

Half the reason I debadged the JAGUAR was because it was basically falling off by itself already.

My Jaguar badge was also easily removed, however the F-Type and S badges were a real PITA to remove.
