Aston builds an F Type R at 4 times the price!🤦♀️

Amazing looking cars and one of the very few cars that could feel exciting after an F-Type. That's what the 2nd generation F-Type should have looked like. Good thing that it's only RWD IMHO. Just too bad about the ridiculous pricing especially if you compare to a late F-Type. Half price Aston Vantage is how Harry Metcalfe summarised the P450 back when he tested it and I guess the price difference is even higher now after the facelift of the Vantage.
For 2025, Corvette sales were 1.3% of Chevrolet's total. If you include the rest of General Motors brands, it's 0.86%. It's definitely not what's keeping the doors open. Silverado variants alone accounted for more than ten times the Corvette sales.
Say what you like... I really like that car and would love to own one. A more reliable engine from Mercedes instead of the in-house AM engine, like the first generation of the newer (2005+ )Vantage or the V12.
4 Liter V8 Twin-Turbo Mercedes engine. 670hp/590 lb-ft torque.
I just love the lines... can't tell you how many times I looked at a used one (2019-2023) before deciding to buy an F-Type. Funny enough, but the interior of the F-Type ages a heck of a lot better than the Aston Martin V8 Vantage... In the years I was looking at the AM 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine, produces 503 hp and 505 lb-ft of torque. So with the F-Type I got a new car with a bit more power, AWD, full warranty... and in the long-term, something that it will be easier to maintain myself.

Correct, I think they started to use the Mercedes V8 engine in the Vantage as of 2018.
