Next time I go over I will do a Google check. I did that just now and although they are not "all over the place" there are a significant number and not necessarily in places I would suspect.

We got real ones all over the place here, and they’re even listed by address on the inner webs. Fortunately, Waze knows where they all are.

Waze is the best one I've found so far.

We seem to be specialising in average speed cameras - near me there's a 14 mile section of motorway works with a 50mph average limit, the only real use for cruise control I've found.

There's no better expression of freedom than 24/7 government monitoring.

Do you not have a Automatic Speed Limiter like you did in your last car?

You are off my Christmas list for speaking these dirty words in public in context of our beloved F-types.

Yeah, but then I wouldn't be able to rest my right foot.

That’s what cruise control is for. ASL is an insidious feature that panders to our sensible, yet useless, side.

ASL is fantastic for cannabis users. You can mash the gas pedal and not wonder if you are going too slow through Gestapo headquarters.

So far the future is a big dissapointment. Time to start looking at the past.

Today I spoke to a Jaguar Australia mechanic (ie. a direct employee) in charge of their drive day fleet and he hadn't heard of the recall. He was skeptical, but I've read the articles with my own eyes. Meanwhile F-Pace SVRs and F-Type R's were thundering past on the racetrack that was hosting the drive day.

But both are already casualties of the war on cars. Crap quality BMW turbo is a non-starter.

There must be more than 28 V6 examples between 2019 and 2020 in Australia... How did they identify exactly which 28 and what makes them different?

28 sounds about right to me, the Oz F-Type market is tiny and around half of those these days are the four potter.
Easy enough to identify by the TOPIx build date and engine type.
As far as I can tell they are no different sound-wise than the earlier models and instead it is the legislation/regulations that have changed with lower stationary noise levels allowed. Remembering that Oz F-Types are built primarily for the UK market and compliance with their laws and regs not the Oz laws and regs.
