I replaced my 10+ year old battery after it got a low battery light every other day. Now if I let car set for a day or 2 I get the warning. When I attach the charger it shows as low but not terrible and fully charged in a matter of hours. The original never did this till near the end of its life. I already disconnected and reconnected negative. Any hints?
The battery monitoring system has to be reset with a scan tool
Also sometimes the battery may have been sitting
On the shelf and may need a good charge to around 12.6v
or take a 35min drive on the highway
You can try the BMS but I've never reset it - it recalibrates itself regularly. Sounds like you may have a weak battery. Did you replace it recently? If so I would take it back and ask them to swap it out as it sounds faulty.
What voltage is it showing when the car is off.

Also make sure the warning triangle goes out after the car has been closed and locked for ten minutes. If it does not go out your battery is being drained. To correct it disconnect the negative battery terminal for one minute which resets the BMS and corrects the problem.

Had this on my 2013 V8S convertible, disconnecting the battery didn't reset the BMS I had to use a scan tool.
Invest in a Ancel BM300 or similar - 5 minute install at the battery terminals and will tell you in real time what is going on. The BMS discharges a fully charged battery as soon as you unlock and open a door.
I changed the battery on my car (an 2016 XE S but it's essentially very similar) and did not have to do any reprogramming.
Went from 80Ah to 95Ah as well since that's the standard capacity for this form factor.
Also, the stop & start works again now . I have to disconnect the connector on the negative terminal to turn the feature off.
I did let the car sit for a few days after installing the new battery, maybe that helped?

you should have had the battery reset when it was replaced, go back to the shop where you bought the battery and they should be able to reset it, if not, go to a independent Jaguar specialist but avoid a Jaguar main dealership at all costs.
The car doesn’t care if the start/stop battery dies. Mine died, and the only consequence was that start/stop disabled itself, no warnings of any kind. I eventually removed it. The 2nd battery disappeared as a feature somewhere around 2016.

....i was in a shop that specialises in car / van and lorry batteries recently and i mentioned this to him and he said most modern cars show this warning so there isn't anything to worry about, they actually can reset the system when a battery has been removed or replaced. That's probably what your F-Type needs as modern cars are over complicated these days..
I took forum advice the second time the extra battery died and disconnected it years ago. Car just sat for 3 days and no battery warning light. Are we sure these aren't Italian cars!
