Belt Squeal After VelocityAP Pulley/Belt Install
Hi all. I'm new here and hoping to get some suggestions as to a belt squeal I'm facing after installing Velocity's Upper and Lower Supercharger pulley with their included belt. Also now has their Stage 3 flashed since installing.
Vehicle:
2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe (5.0L V8)
Car is currently with Jaguar dealership whom is now attempting to source a screeching-like noise that begins at startup and gets progressively louder after about 5 minutes-- seems to get louder with engine speed. Dealership finished the belt install last week and has since been unable to source the sound. Dealership says install was straight forward/successful.
They've since ruled out idler pulleys--replaced them one-by-one and noise persists.
I have reached out to Velocity and Stuart whom is on-travel with another customer through December 8th- and support has been on the slower side.
Any ideas? Should the dealer drive it a bit in hopes it "beds down"?

After searching, ended up trying the Goodyear Gatorback belt, this particular length fit my R, and as unbelievable as it seems, no noise developed since - over a year, several thousand miles and multiple track days later. These belts are no longer made but can still be purchased new, which I had bought several more for good measure. I'll be installing the VAP upper in the spring, and anxious to see if the noise returns.
This is good info. I guess I'm puzzled then as to why Velocity would include a belt with their lower pulley that would produce such a noise with their own products. Still waiting on Velocity to return emails/calls.

I’m guessing since few have posted about chirp/squeal, and that even reputable belts like Gates that work fine for countless others didn’t work for me, on a factory upper pulley no less, that ours are exceptional cases rather than examples.
I also had it after replacing the upper pulley (Stage3)! It was audible but not extremely loud! For me it was because I was using an old belt (no more than 500 km) that had already run on the OEM upper pulley. and the new griptec pulley, this belt had to get used to it :-) After another 400km the noise was completely gone. The only important thing would be to know whether the upper pulley was actually pushed onto the shaft correctly and there is no misalignment. I think every millimeter of deviation can cause problems and noise. Please check that again.
I never had any screeching but they did send me the wrong size belt.
I did the lower pulley with tune and did not see any performance increase on my 1/4 mile Stuart suspected possibly bad gas and that I would have to buy their datalogger so they could look at the files after running. It was determined I had a lot of slippage and that my 2016 was built around the time Jag switched belts. They sent a new belt I installed it and added the upper pulley at the same time still no gains. Very frustrating spending that money and getting nothing out of it. Also added the TCU tune with the upper pulley. So TCU, ECU, downpipes, tune and no gain in 1/4 mile wasted my $$
Hope you get it sorted I know how frustrating that can be.

I cannot confirm this at all. I noticed every expansion level in my F-Type. Biggest success was from Stage 1 to Stage 2! On Stage 3 the difference was smaller. I measured after each conversion with P-Gear 610. OEM on Stage3, I gained around 1.5 seconds when measuring 100-200 km/h, which is considerable in my opinion! OEM on Stage3 at 0-100 km/h measurement 0.5 seconds gain.
