Big sur
Drove the F-Type down the peerless California Highway 1 to Big Sur this weekend.
The prowling cat handled beautifully around the winding coastline roads, and it was really something to hear it growling and leaping around the bends.
The stratus grey was pretty dirty from the dusty coast, but I did take some shots. Enjoy.

Those are awesome pics! Do they show the true color of Stratus in bright sunlight ? Meaning the Stratus was not enhanced by a graphics program.
I haven't seen ANY pics of Stratus Gray that are better than yours.

hope that helps
Those are stunning photos,I wish I knew you were headed this way, would have loved to meet you and buy you a drink...or two.
Car looks lovely and I'm glad you were able to enjoy it here, hope the traffic was such that you were able to wring her out just a bit!
How's the 340hp model feel when you get on it on the open road...?

Did you take any side profile shots? I saw the orbit wheels on the Jag site, but didn't consider them. I really want 20" wheels, but now that I've seen yours with the Stratus I'm seriously considering them.

Those wheels look great on that car...and call me crazy but I just love how the larger twin V/6 exhaust look versus the smaller quad V/8 pipes...is it just me or what...?
I like the twin exhaust too.

I really enjoyed watching your gopro track vids: hope you post some more from the next track day although now that you've set the bar at passing Ferraris, expectations are correspondingly high!
Buick...be careful what you wish for. I'll holler next time I pass Monterey but I'm gonna want to see your classic collection! The car was sublime around HWY 1. I have to say that the F-Type premium seats are really great: the bolstering provides excellent support for cornering, and were actually more comfortable for touring than the premium seats in my BMW 5-series!
PD....sorry I didn't take any side profile pics but I think you should stick with the 20's on your R: I picked the 19's because I didn't want to drive 20's on sh*tty San Francisco streets.

I'm getting the S not R. Still think I should go with the 20s?

I would if I were you. I just didn't really have a choice given how crappy the roads are here and the fact that the base V6 doesn't have active damping on the suspension.
You may indeed be crazy
but I agree. I love the larger tapered V6 pipes.

20s bring out the more ultramodern track-car look of the design (IMO).
Personally I prefer the quad pipes on the V8, but I do like how the center pipes on the V6 pay homage to the F-Type's forerunner...
Great photos! Love the Monterey Bay area. I'm also from SF, picking up a coupe this Saturday. One of my first destinations will be down to Pebble/Monterey. Let me know if you want to do a cruise down there one of these weekends.
schraderade,
Certainly PM me the next time you're in the area but I consigned my '69 Z/28 at the Mecum Monterey auction 8/14 so hopefully it'll be gone soon and that's the last one in my collection, except the '28 Roadster and the funny car which are both currently at home...would love to meet you as well and check out your car over lunch/drinks.
shift,
If you guys come down in the fall,I would love to hook up with you and cruise the cars to Big Sur or PB,we'd look good with a brace or three F-Type coupes cruising around!
Ungineer, was just thinking the same thing an hour ago: the black-cut Orbit wheels are a modern riff on classic wire wheels. And it fits the F-Type's character perfectly, with a subdued exterior color.
