Buying checklist - or am I overthinking it?
Excellent checklist. These beautiful cars are inexpensive now and usually with low miles as they are not daily drivers, and the exteriors are in good shape because they are usually garaged.
I would check the coolant pipes for any leaks - endoscope the area under the supercharger and rear cross pipe. Black light the engine bay in total darkness to look for any coolant spray or evidence of mice nesting. If you find a leak factor that into the price.
Do a full OBD2 scan to look for errors. The injectors and O2 sensors will go at some point and need replacing. Make sure the original spark plugs were replaced.
If the tires are worn ask for new ones. Check brake pad thickness. If low, ask that be addressed (both in the interest of safety).
The cost per fun ratio is low and smiles per gallon high. These are rare too, as I have seen just one F-Type in the past 6 months on the road.
