Hello everyone,

There is a buzzing sound coming behind the driver's seat, right after I step on the gas pedal, on my 2014 F-Type V8S. Wife says it was always there but I'm just noticing it, maybe because I use to drive with the roof down:


Is this normal?

 

It doesn’t sound like mine, but perhaps the active exhaust vacuum pump? It’s located behind and inboard of the left rear tire. Does it stop if you switch off dynamic mode and active exhaust?

 

Following your advice I played with the settings and realized that the sound stops only when I switch on Dynamic Mode. Toggling active exhaust doesn't make a difference.
That's weird because if it comes from the active exhaust vacuum pump as you mentioned, it should stop with it on, right?

 

I think Dynamic opens the valves all the time, but active only over 3400 rpm. So you may have found a good clue.
