Default Can anyone identify these parts?

Just purchased an F-Type V8S and found these small, black plastic parts sitting in the trunk. My dealer couldn't tell me what they are. Can anyone identify them and tell me what they are for? Thanks for your help.

I'll take a guess...

They look like they may have been used as protectors for the chrome strip on the side front fender when the car was shipped?

it took me a while to figure out. they look the inserts for the roll over bars. It would cover the slot where the hold for the mesh screen is attached.

I just checked and the pieces are way too small to cover the chrome and are even smaller than the vent itself. It was a good thought - the pieces have little felt pads on them, so whatever they interface with is probably prone to scratches.

Thanks for your help. The mystery continues...

Thanks, Earl08. That was also my first thought, but I have removed the wind deflector and the pieces don't fit in the empty slot or anywhere else around the roll bar.

Look at your options list on the invoice and see if they have replaced something that had an insert.

Thanks SkipM. Nice choice of car. Looking at the Monroney didn't provide any insight.

I think the pieces are meant to cover the hole in the roll bars if one were to permanently remove the bracket that the wind deflector slides into. I'm not going to do that, so I can't confirm that's where they go. It's interesting that other owners didn't receive these pieces.

I did get similar parts with my V6S, although they're chrome – I guess because of the difference in colour/finish of the rollover hoops between the 6 and the 8?

And my dealer did say that they were covers to use if I removed the wind deflector.

Those parts are the outside covers that can be replaced with either chrome or carbon fiber on the hood vents. I replaced mine with carbon, so I have them as well.
