I've seen it. It was my first choice before actually going to see the paints in person. The actual Lunar Grey is considerably lighter than it appears in the Jaguar configurator. Also, it's a non-xirallic paint so it is mildly glossy but appears flat and lacks the color depth and sparkle of the xirallic colors.

When I saw the Lunar next to Stratus, Sapphire and White I dropped it immediately!

I've only seen Lunar Grey on the convertible. The online configurator isn't quite accurate on that one. My monitor displays it with hints tan, almost titanium colored which I really like. I didn't see that on the real thing. It was fairly neutral grey, and a good medium shade. I normally like shades not as dark as Stratus grey, so I thought might like Lunar better. But after seeing both in person I went with Stratus. It seemed deeper, and just a bit sexier.

Default Very insightful

My thanks to the both of you for helping me strike Lunar from the list. Speaking of lunar, I'm going absolutely mad on my decision:

Polaris/Black Pack/Red interior vs. Ivory interior /Diamond G vs. Blade wheels

OR

Stratus/Black Pack (or not)/Red interior vs. Ivory interior/Diamond G vs. Blade wheels.

And, I'm not alone in this quandary. My mind was made a month ago until I found out that Status could be ordered with the Black Pack, and then.....

Do you guys have pics posted of your rides?

And, of course, never having seen it in the flesh (only on this forum and the NET), I still have a lot of curiosity over Italian Racing Red with the Black Package.

Frankly, half of the decision-making would be done if Jaguar would:

* Make the Storm wheels available as a non-ceramic brake option; and
* Have a third option for the Chrome vs. Black vent choices, such as gunmetal.

IMO both colors are fantastic and different to the point where there is no absolute way to calibrate one vs the other.
Therefore, I'd suggest a typical design tie breaker, which is:
1. Ask your wife if you have one;
2. Ask your kids if you have them;
3. Failing that (or if this is your man car), think about which color expresses your personality better rather than which one is aesthetically superior.

Let us know what you decide!! Either way you win

I actually think Polaris is the most striking color on the f-type with the pano roof, but I don't seem to want to own it. I also think Dark Sapphire looks amazing on it, a very high-end look. Part of me wishes I had ordered Sapphire because there will be so few of them compared to Polaris and Stratus, but I know personally, the Stratus resonated with me the most when I saw it. In the end I'll always order what makes ME smile rather that what might make it stand out to others. I hope you get a chance to see your debated choices in person. It makes a difference.

Great posts. I'm going with an ultimate black on gyrodyne black and diamond wheels. BUT I can't decide if it looks better with or without the black pack. I've only seen that combination with the black pack (for the coupe). If someone has a non stock pic with the chrome I would be very happy.

I agree with everything in IronMike's last post above.
