Cargo Cover Issue
I have a 2017 F Type V6S Coupe and am having trouble with the cargo cover. The cover won't stay up and constantly falls down on one side into the trunk. Do any of you have this problem? Any solutions?
There is a thread around here somewhere where someone complained of the same problem and apparently the solution was to increase the length of the "pegs" that the slots on the top corners of the cover go around.
Sorry, despite a bit of searching I can't find that thread!
Have you checked that both slots are fully seated around the pegs?
It is very easy to fit the cover and think it looks "right", but in fact one or both slot surrounds are sitting on top of the peg(s) and not around the peg(s).

I had two problems:
1) As you described, the cover kept coming off the mounts. It actually looked like the pegs were too short.
2) The rubber strip on the edge at the seat side kept coming off.
When I took mine in, they replaced the whole cover because they said the rubber was deformed. It doesn't flop at all now. So I'm not sure if they redesigned the pegs to make them longer/fit better or there is some new kind of mount. But two weeks + and it hasn't flopped once.

As noted, the pegs are too short. Pick a random F-Type on a dealer's lot and you'll probably find the pegs fixed to the side trims barely make contact with the locator slots on the cover's brackets, and won't go fully through on both sides.
I discussed this with my local dealer about 2 years ago, and the fix at the time was to remove the side trims and fit spacers washers where they attach to the metal body of the car. You can gain about 2mm on each side before the trim clips won't mate anymore, which is usually enough to fix it.
I reverted that "fix" (bodge) because my side trim clips kept popping out and rattling. There may be a new TSB addressing that now.
I tried a few of my own fixes to date, the latest has been there for about 6 months and should be my last: I 3d printed two 10mm extensions for the pegs and screwed them onto the ends. I then wrapped a single piece of Tesa cloth harnessing tape around the extended pegs to reduce the cover rattling. You could make the extensions out of anything you have to hand if you can't print your own. You can probably get some plastic washers in the correct size and stack them to suit, but even a wood screw with cloth tape wrapped around it to get to the correct size should work.
Mine is a 2015MY - its a shame to see this is still affecting the newer cars when it is so easily fixed by installing a larger peg.

My solution . First, I centered the cover and then with a pencil, marked the peg where the outer edge of peg slot is (on both sides.) then I removed the cover, and put a black zip tie around each peg where the mark is. Then when you replace the cover, it stays centered. The zip ties should line up with the outside edge of each peg slot on the cover. You'll never see the zip tie on the peg.I did this 6 months ago and it hasn't slipped off once.
I thought it was Oz (?) that said he wrapped 10 revolutions of tape around the pegs to make them stick in better. But the zip-tie solution sounds more elegant.

But I didn't haven't any problems with the cover falling off a peg or falling down, my problem was the way it rattled. The tape was to make the slots fit real tight around the pegs so they couldn't rattle.
Tape might just stop the slot(s) falling off the peg(s), but IMHO zip ties will not stop the rattle.
I had the same issue with my cargo cover. I made 2 bushings that were 11 mm wide, put them on the pins, it centered the cover and it stopped falling off. The Jag design seemed like the pins were too short. With the bushings, there is no more sliding back and forth, stays centered and on the pins.

Thanks!
If you're under warranty, why not quote the techniical bulletin to your dealer?
In my case I have some carbon fiber tubing that is 11mm I.D. (fuel lines for jets...) handy and can cut some in about 10 seconds. A trip to dealer is 1 hour plus each way. Plus the time they screw around, at least an hour, and they'd say something about it not be under CPO or the like (he and I both have 2016s per our signatures).

The right side pin on my car broke clean off the face of the trim and I was left with a hole. I was able to fit a bolt with a washer behind the panel, and then a washer and locknut on the other side. It's inelegant, I should really just order the trim piece and replace it.
