In case you needed to see vertical doors on the coupe (I mean no harm, just humor).
I saw this and immediately thought it needed that leaper install, and the triple exhaust biturbo from this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...ptions-167038/
So ZERO OFFENSE if you like the look, aesthetics is all opinions! But I just thought it quite fun, all of it.
Agree, the doors are rather long and often it is difficult to get them fully open when next to obstructions.
Not to mention the hijinks that happen in design dev for permitting purposes to get all those necessary parking spots loaded into the site plan.
Not only the dumb "COMPACT" spaces that no one can park in properly, but just the complete unusability of some spots. I do note the Tesla X engineered the whole out of those dumpy looking wing doors, and in garages and tight spaces it's pretty awesome. Or you could have just used a sliding door like all minivans??
Yeah, it's definitely a requirement that you do daily squats to easily get in and out of this car. =)
I think our f types should get special parking spots that are wider. There's not that many of us, so it's not like we are going to take up a whole parking lot.

I was actually taking photos of "dream" spots at our malls, locally, that are highly sought after. Those spots that end of giant because of bad measuring/striping. Some feel like parking on Greenland, all alone, with angels singing.

I'm not concerned with a tight space and not being able to open my door all the way for easy access, I'm concerned with adjacent cars opening their door into my paint/metal. Some careless person opens the door and the damage is done. Their beater is fine, mine damaged and I'm so sure they will leave their info to pay for the damage. I park out, WAY out and don't mind the walk. Not able to do this? I don't park there in the Jag. I'll return in the daily driver and my Jag's paint is intact. Common sense. I went to a place the other day and lo and behold, A Mclaren and Ferrari were parked at an angle a space apart in the boonies. Easy rule. I'm not looking for wider spaces, etc., I'm like these two. I find a safe spot for the car away from anyone else and walk, or I don't park there. And, yes I know. Historically I do this to return and find someone parked next to me. So park in a parking lot with enough space out in the boonies so you can park at an angle to protect the car or don't put the car in harms way and move on. Period.
Just a word of caution about boonie parking. Make sure you are next to a curbed island. I regularly parked away from everyone in the boonies. I had a guy in a 3500 pickup pulling a flat bed trailer with pipes hit my old XF SC. He said he didn't see it out in the open. I asked him why a 35 foot vehicle was cutting through parking lots instead of staying on the perimeter road. No answer.

I love my curbs... one less door to hit. However, Depending on the scenario, sometimes I paint myself into a corner (or my wife) in making it even more difficult to get out. Also, anyone ever parked along a curb, and then while getting out get their foot and leg in a position that feels like you are going to tweak or torque it out of place? LOL Just me?
Also... why do people cut through? Say it with me.... we've become both entitled and lazy, a stellar combination of selfish idiocy.
Yes, the foot jammed in the curb is bad. I have taken to backing in so the passenger side is against the curb and usually am parking so far away that no one else bothers to park anywhere near by. This is my usual for Home Depot or Lowes when I'm just buying small stuff and can take the jag.
