Default Chicago debut

Updates to new '21 look good. Not enough to run out and get one on those alone. New interior, at least a 3k option,is nice enough I would get it. Digital is not that important to me but I can see the tech upgrades as helping sales. Money must be tight as change to straight six is now way off. Probably needs to succeed in Range Rover first!

Yep they had a 4 cylinder vert on display

waiting for the R reviews out of Portugal embargoed until feb 9

info coming out of the Portugal launch event, the factory building the v8 is set to close later this year, so grab one while you still can - there won’t be an svr, nor will there be a facelift f pace svr

jag would have same problem with inline 6 in f type as xe, in that it won’t physically fit in the engine bay

We need a raucous supercharged V8, that isn't a nightmare BMW turbo, available in the F-Type. If that is truely not possible (two words that really mean "not willing") then the F-Type is going to be retired whether Jag wants to end it or not.

I'm not against a V6 option and I owned one, but if it isn't the little brother of a high end performance car then the platform is too expensive for its perfomance class.

I get the impression that Jag is caught in a restrictive mindset that doesn't think loud powerful V8s are "permitted" or wanted anymore. There are lots of V8 performance cars for sale in volume which prove that wrong.

Corvette imploded and removed our biggest competitor, the supercharged Z06, Jag should fill that void.

Are you saying that the MY 2021 R is going to be a BMW V8?

Reports I've seen hint that the V8 will be replaced with a turbo 4.4 BMW V8, no timescale given but the contract with Ford to produce the Jaguar V8 expires this year.

They have now, at it seems over 50% of german parts in the F-Type. With also BMW motor I think the car would cost over the price to stay it an interesting purchase.
My advice, not only take the headlights from Hyundai i30, but also the 8 cylinder motor from Genesis.

IMO, the exterior 'facelift' is more late-model Ford Mustang than F-Type. More 'modern', less timeless. I'm definitely not a fan. Everyone keeps saying it 'looks even better in person', and I sure hope so. Not that Ford did a bad job with the Mustang, exactly, and the interior updates on the F-Type are gorgeous...it just feels less special on the outside than it used to.

Cadillac has gone from vertical lamp styling to horizontal, too.

new is always nice and I really like the way the new interior looks - I’m mixed on the rear diffuser but I’m lost as to what is going on with the headlights.
