Default Clear Bra on Headlights

Has anyone here who's done a clear bra done it on the headlights of the F-Type? I've looked into doing it as I've recently had them replaced through insurance after getting absolutely destroyed by rocks flying off a gravel truck (cracked windshield, chips all over 2-week old resprayed bumper and grille, etc.) and so they're in brand-new, chip-free condition and I'd love to keep them that way. However, I've heard that sometimes this can cause overheating in the headlight unit which causes premature failure.

With that said, I know many Porsche owners get their headlights clear bra'd and have not had any issues. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!

I had recommended that this is an absolute must and easy-cheap.

I used 3M pro. Cannot tell the difference between the headlight covered first and the one not done.

about $20 for the material for each light.

You can do yourself or have it done.

Thanks for the help guys! I've gone ahead and had them applied to the car yesterday, it's great and so far no rock chips. Will report back if anything comes up, but very excited to have some chip-free headlights

Rent, reoccurring boat payments, and how many times does someone walk through the door with an expensive car.
They need to make about $2k per person if they were selling bottled water at these low numbers.
