Yes...a highly technical term only taught at the tier one engineering schools. Applies primarily to British electro-mechanical systems. The concept was first introduced to The Royal Society by Joseph Lucas in 1902, and he spent the rest of his career perfecting the concept. It was credited with leading to substantial societal changes including the British acceptance of warm beer and the willingness to drive cars sufficiently small to push start (Bugeye Sprite, MG Midget, Austin Mini, etc.).

Just kidding, but when I got it back from service its was in the 24 hr mode. Took me a while to find the setting to change it.
On my Range Rover sport, which is very similar to the F-Type setup, if you press and hold the time on the displayed on the main screen the time/ date menu will pop up. Saves going through the menu's.

I haven't tried it on the F-Type yet, but I will later.

I just came up with that one, feel free to use it.
That's why the British celebrate Thanksgiving on July 4th - to give thanks for getting rid of that colony.....

Tried this over the weekend, and indeed... tapping on the time takes you directly to the clock settings screen!

Yes, I tried it too and it does work. I'm happy you could figure out what I wrote because I re-read what you quoted and it made little sense. I should have said ,press the time on the main screen and the time/date menu will pop up.

Sheesh!!

Here's a bit of a non sequitur...

Not that I use NAV much, if at all, I had hoped when I first configured it - when I got my car 19 months ago - that English [UK] would feature a melodious British woman's voice when it appears that in spite of there being an English [US] and English [UK] they are, in fact, one in the same? Unless someone can tell me otherwise? (Preferably in a lusty British women's voice).

The appropriate response hereto, not suited for polite company, but here's a partial: Unless..., a British accent is not required.

(I know: Now I'm just entertaining myself)lol

That wasn't exactly the reply I was looking for - actually nothing like it - but I'm happy if I provided you with the impetus for self-gratification.

'Revert back' or 'return back' infers that two changes occurred. Initially, the clock 'reverted', then went 'back' or 'returned'.

Maybe similar to when someone says they 'did a 360' in a car instead of 'a 180'.

I keed.

I've only seen this upon getting the car back from the dealer after a software update.

On a related note, I'm minorly annoyed that the nav system can't update the clock from the GPS - my 2010 Ford does that. I have to adjust the clock every few months. Yeah, I know, First World problem...
