Thumbs down Convertible owners - Any paint missing?

I'm interested to know if any fellow convertible owners out there can do a quick check for me...

If you look under the left hand corner of the rear wing, just above the rear light cluster, can you see if you have paint coverage please?

Reason I ask, this was one of the (amongst many other) factors, why I rejected my first V8S Vert, and surprisingly, the replacement MY16 car also has this defect (amongst others)!

Seems to me like the robot has not been programmed to and this is one of the areas is 'misses'.

Thanks in advance.

But thanks for making me manually engage the spoiler, which I never do. I washed and waxed the car today, and realized I should have done so under the spoiler too. Oh well - I'll just have keep it under 60MPH so no one notices.

Yeah, right.

LOL, I just recently did the same and was shocked at how dirty it was under there.

The only thing missing was an IRR paint job!

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not sure my directions were all that, so I have attached a picture to show the area I would like you to have a look see....

Left hand side, above rear light cluster.

Me too - I looked in a number of places, as I wasn't 100% sure what you were describing. UK 'wing' = US 'quarter panel', or perhaps 'fender' if I'm not mistaken. But I thought you could have been referring to the spoiler, so I checked there too.

I'm no paint expert - plus I have a Coupe - but that looks unacceptable to me; regardless of model or year.

Just been out to the garage to check for you. Mine is painted just fine.
Bad news. I'd expected better from Jaguar with this being your second car.

1) How the hell can that leave the factory without someone noticing?
2) How the hell can the dealer not check or see this before selling you the car?
3) Where the hell is quality control these days???

I might expect this on a much cheaper car - and the truth is many much cheaper cars I'm sure have much better QC - but on a Jag?

Wonders never cease.

Thanks for the replies thus far - So, from my deductions then, it can't be the wrong programming of the robot, otherwise it would affect ALL convertibles.

It must be the IRR, but that just doesn't make sense to me....any suggestions?

Wish I had a Paint depth gauge....

FYI: The picture was MY15 IRR, the latest car feels bare in the exact same area, but I can't get a shot of it just yet unfortunately.

Perhaps there are multiple paint lines and only one isn't programmed properly (or is out of calibration).
