Convertible top won’t come down.
Hi,
I’m rebuilding my 3.0 v6 and waiting forever to have the crank shaft grinded. The subframe is out including all the engine and transmission wiring.
Meanwhile I started to replace the rear left quarter panel. Now I need to drop the top to reach some bolts. But the top doesn’t do anything. Beforehand it opened and closed perfectly. Must be all the wiring I disconnected. I checked the fuses, all good.
Does anyone have a electrical schedule of the top? Under which conditions will it open?
thx Adam

I assume the battery is connected? I’ve found on mine that a shutdown from ECO (Start/Stop) is a harder shutdown than turning off the ignition. My 2nd battery is dead and gone, but previously if ECO shut off the car (for example, by removing the seatbelt before shutting off the engine), then simply turning the ignition on wasn’t enough to operate the roof, I actually had the start the engine.
The folding top section starts at p. 1680. Wiring diagrams are at the end.

According to the manual it can only be used to close it. But that would be a great solution . Does anyone know if that’s possible?
