Talking Creaky noise when pushing the clutch pedal

My car is getting close to 60K miles and when I push the clutch pedal there's a little creaky noise. Still works fine, but after all, its a Jaguar and there should be silence when clutching. Talking

Before I try going in upside down into the drivers footwell of my coupe to look at the top of the clutch pedal mechanical, I was wondering if anyone out there with a manual knows if there is some sort of spring (sounds more like a spring) or hydraulic assist mechanism at the top of the clutch pedal that could be the culprit.

Default Creaky Clutch

I have a 2017 and have driven manual transmissions all my life. I am not experiencing this in my 2017, yet, at 43,000 miles. I would suggest getting some "dry lube' and applying it to the pivot point, working the pedal a bit and then seeing if the creak disappears. Be sure to protect the carpeted area in the footwell and the clutch pedal pad, so that you don't get any of the lubricant on those surfaces.

Had that noise as well at 34K miles, not all the time, normally on hot days and it wasn't bothering me too much. It turned up to be the cylinder master which is being replaced this week. The car is in for an engine replacement job so I've asked all clutch components to be checked, that's how I know.

But I agree with Valerie, start with a lubricant just in case it helps.

It's the thing right next to the hand crank to start the engine.

A feature a real sports car should have. ... and a sad commentary for us 3-pedalers.

Your question prompted me to start this thread and share some knowledge about the 6-speed MT

I got that 😊

I'm making the most of my ability to drive a manual while I can!

It's been in the workshop for 7 weeks and the separation anxiety has tough to say the least. I popped in last Friday to see the new JLR engine and looks fabulous. I'll update the main thread when I get it back hopefully tomorrow with lots of photos that my mechanic has taken.

I'm getting all new alloy pipes and water pump, oil cooler, belts, slave cylinder, 6 new injectors, practically a new car. Insurance/extended warranty only paid for 60% of a £17K bill but the ombudsman took on my case and is arguing with them.
