It was purchased off the lot, but I had one particular livery and interior decor combo I (or more specifically my wife) wanted, and there was only one matching available for sale at the time. I went to Tampa, FL for it. Even a large manufacturer only completes 4-5 per month max of the flagship Class As.

 

That opening is very narrow, and there's two vertical supports narrower than the plate width. It's also all open in that space between it and the radiator, and I don't know what you'd mount it too. I think you'd have to remove the entire nose, and do some considerable modification.

It's hardly worth the trouble in my view . . . I'm so used to seeing a front plate on cars, I don't even notice them any more. I've been able to "let it go . . ."

 

I'm an engineer by training. My wife has learned that when she says I can't accomplish something, I obsess on it until I find a solution. (A burden I must bear )


That said, when next we pass each other on US50, I'll probably be sporting a front tag.

 

Well, if you work it out, I will be impressed, but I most assuredly won't be letting you do surgery on my car, even if you were willing.

So lets see... by taking one off the lot I got more than my desires AND saved money...
