Dealership/car killing me!
Ok I put my car in the shop because of significant electrical problems that I noted in another thread (I still need to update). Anyway they replaced my VQM due to it intermittently working. Then they replaced the BCM/CJB and the AJB to the tune of over $4000. The car seems to be working fine now except the steering wheel adjuster does not work at all.
I took the car back to the shop to address this issue. They just told me that my steering column adjuster needs to be reprogrammed. They say it is not connected to the BCM. They go on to say the column needs to be dropped so they can find a number needed to reprogram the adjuster. I was told four hours of labor was needed.
Soooo is the adjuster connected to anything they replaced? I am scratching my head as to why all these things are failing at the same time.

I just received a response from the dealership that the steering column adjuster is not attached to the BCM or any junction box. The column needs to be removed to obtain its WERES number then recalibrate the column. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
If this was a possible "known" issue by the dealer after doing what they repaired, I would argue pretty hard that they should have jotted down that # just in case!! Even if they got anywhere close to that # they should have looked. Maybe common sense doesn't count
