Default Debadgedish rear!!!!

I stupidly opened my electric boot onto my garage door the other day
I goughed the paint down to the undercoat, i didnt want a touch up so i had a local body shop paint my entier rear spoiler.
At the same time i thought i'd debadge it to a certain extent, what do you reckon

You've gone that far, remove the R.

Just my opinion, but I don't care for the lopsided symmetry of leaving just the R as you have.

I've debadged mine similarly, nothing but the Leaper on the spoiler... except I relocated the R to the interior of the rear boot. You can't easily see it from the road, but you do see it if walking around and admiring the vehicle.

As an added and unplanned bonus, while driving, I see a ghosted reflection of my R in the rear-view mirror, properly oriented (as in not reversed or mirrored image), since my placement of the R is reflected a second time off the inside of the boot glass.
I'll try to get a picture tonight and post it for you.

MY XKR has no leaper, no "XK"...just the "R". Looks pretty sweet and NOBODY knows that is it... people will follow you for miles to see if they are looking at the new aston/ferrari/maserati.... they have no idea they are looking at a Jag!

Since were all showing off our back side, I'll repost this from another thread several months ago. Sure to spark some spirited conversation. I have 5 different plates that I swap in and out as the mood strikes me.
Since its raining in sunny So Cal here this evening, wont be able to get a decent pic of the relocated "R" until tomorrow...

I would remove the leaper as well, but unfortunately the F-Type has 2 locating dimples in the bodywork for positioning the badge.

Backwards. The leaper has two positioning holes. F-Type is strictly adhesive. I suspect that's what you meant to say, just trying to keep the details accurate.

I'd remove the 'R' (or put it on straight).

Body shop could've filled the dimples when repainting the spoiler for the ultimate debadge, but too late I guess...

can't say im that fussed with trunk badges though

Can u let me know what badges I can pull off that are on by adhesive and which ones are not. I would like to pull f type badge and jaguar text one and leave leaper. Also did u have any damage underneath badges before u repainted?

Just use fishing line. They are all on with adhesive. I started to de-badge because the J in Jaguar came off during a hand wash one day.

The Leaper is probably best left on because of the alignment dimples. But, even it is still only on with adhesive.

Stuck in place with adhesive, yes.
But one will have 2 holes exposed in their spoiler if they think they can remove the leaper altogether with no repercussion.
