Detailing ?
Hi
Need some help. Some light scratches to the lower front bumper , from a parking barrier. These car are just a little to low. What detailing product have you used to help make them better. No breaKs or missing parts , just some rub marks where we rode over the barrier.
Thanks

I always try clay first (latest one I am using is a carpro polyshave block with their lubricant, it has been excellent) but if that doesnt work then I go to a generic cut and polish, get rid of the scratch then clay then wax.
I like all NYC Ammo products. Leather conditioner I think is called mouse. Larry, the owner has lots of videos on youtube.
"Best" is entirely subjective. But "excellent": AutoGlym Leather Balm, or Lexol...the most important thing is to use a high quality leather conditioner that contains no silicones. Both AutoGlym and Lexol also make excellent leather cleaners. Other people will have their own favourites, but again, whatever you use must be a "no silicone" formulation. And before anyone tells you that it is useless to use a conditioner because.......well, conditioners DO penetrate the colour coating if they are properly formulated and they ARE necessary to keep that colour coat soft and supple. Used regularly, the leather will remain as new for decades.

As sov211 states, "Best" is entirely subjective. I can't stand Lexol, streaky stains left on the leather, but the others mentioned and many others are good without spending a lot of money.
If you guys want to know what the professional detailers use for products, check the following forum: https://www.autopia.org/forums/forum.php
Yes, the fabric portion of the standard seat is Alcantara...the bolsters are leather.
I agree with subjective because I've always had great results with Lexol.
+1. Lexol will indeed streak if it is not worked into the leather properly, but the extra work needed is worth the results.
There is only one Lexol formulation suitable: the Conditioner formulation in the brown bottle, NOT the neatsfoot formulation. Lexol also makes a very good leather Cleaner.
The process is simple: spray the conditioner on the leather, work it in with your hand, let it sit to soak in...the longer the better. This is where the complaint about "streaking" comes in. The Lexol conditioner (I am not speaking of the Cleaner here) removes dirt embedded in the leather and the surface may well look uneven and be sticky to the touch. That is because the conditioning process has not been completed. Take a soft cloth (microfibre is perfect) - and spray a bit more Lexol on the cloth. Now buff the surface of the leather with that cloth. You will be amazed at the amount of dirt that will come off! I generally repeat this entire process. The result is soft, clean, and beautiful leather, just as Jaguar designed it. Don't forget the dash if you have the "Extended leather" option - butter-soft nappa leather.
This same process is used for other conditioners that penetrate the surface coating, such as the AutoGlym Leather Balm I have mentioned previously. Whatever you do, do NOT use a so-called conditioner with silicone in it!

But look at the dirt that the Lexol Conditioner (not the Cleaner) lifts out of the leather! further buffing (after this photo was taken) will remove all the dirt and the finish will be smooth, soft and not shiny:
