Now you have me worried. I went into the dealer yesterday to get the Jaguar order number for my car. The dealer swears up and down that Jaguar has issued no order numbers for the 2016 models. He says that will be done as soon as pricing is announced for the un-optioned models.( Only the pricing for the 2016 options has been announced). Is the order number you are talking about the Jag production number, or the dealer contract number?

It might be the dealer #. My paper is labeled "Common Order No" 12345678
There are no prices yet on the 2016 as your dealer has stated. Cecil.........

The dealer should be able to give you the "Common Order Number" as well as an anticipated production date at the moment. My production date is the week of February 5th, which is the first week of 2016 production.

I have a 2016 on order - the dealership provided me with a detailed print-out that includes current planned build date, factory complete date, as well as a requested delivery date. I understand these dates are subject to change, but it is nice to have as a benchmark.

The paperwork also includes a "common order number"

All I've got is a 5 digit dealer invoice number. I've got a call into the dealer now. I'm worried they may be holding out for better deals. I could end up into the end of the year before I get the car.

Only in their dreams, these cars are not exactly flying out the doors. Did they discuss pricing on the car? As of yesterday I was told it still had not been released here in the US.

The information provided to me was that the 2016 option and package prices had been released, but not yet for the 12 different F-Type models (stripped). I have already negotiated the price at MSRP less a fixed dollar discount. If there is any type of club discount at time of delivery, I can take advantage of that as well. That discount is currently at $2500, but that will expire 3/31/15 and certainly before I get delivery.

Upon further investigation by the dealer, they are claiming that only orders for the 2016 AWD convertibles are being accepted by the order system (even though we know from this thread that at least one AWD order was accepted for the Coupe). The dealer claims that orders for the MT will be taken by the system in January. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

My dealer has 6 allocations every 3 months. They build them randomly 3 coupes and 3 convertibles, of which 1 or 2 of each will be R's.

If someone wants to order to their own specific requests they will modify their allocation. For example, they changed one of the vehicles in their current allocation to suit my preferences, which is a Glacier White coupe over full red leather and blade wheels.

That vehicle has a change date meaning the order can be modified up until February 10th. The factory completion date is March 16th and the delivery date is April 24th.
