My car is the rather ubiquitous sapphire blue but will also have to be locally painted. Let's hope they can colour match! So two weeks with a 2020 Evoque it is...good thing it is snowing here!

I thought the virus had to be airborne. Maybe still a problem if your doorhandle sneezes on a regular basis.

Huh? Sapphire Blue is anything but "ubiquitous". So far my only sightings of that beautiful colour have been in photos. My BRG is rare enough but the S.blue? Never seen in real life - or what passes for it these days.

My practice is to have possibly-needed spare parts on hand for my cars and that means that I already have the driver's side handle assembly in BRG in my spare parts closet - which virtually guarantees that I will never need it. Crazy? Yes, a bit. But you never know when you might need a good clock for a 60's Mk 2! (and yes, I do have one...but the original clock just keeps running).

Seems Pard didn't quite understand the meaning of ubiquitous.
From the Oxford English Dictionary: "Present, appearing, or found everywhere."
And yes it is just about my favourite F-Type colour and I have never seen it in real life.

Isn't Dark Sapphire Blue and Loire Blue one in the same? I was told they changed names of some of the colors to match the same in the Land Rover line. I have the Loire Blue and that was what I was shopping for my F Type.

Just check the paint codes, e.g. Glacier White which became Yulong White share the same code (1AQ).

Well, the dark sapphire blue (which i believe is the same as loire on later models) is a "standard" colour (not special order) and I have seen more than a couple here in the Detroit area. "Ubiquitous" may have been a slight exaggeration though! ;-) Not sure which colours are the most popular (silver, perhaps?), but I am not the only one with a blue one here...

Aside: the car itself is of course not that common and I have been telling/convincing myself that my particular car is special because it is sapphire blue/brogue interior/6-spd manual/glass roof - a combo I have never come across on any but my own. Because it is a standard colour, however, I was hoping that I would not have to have the handle painted locally...
