Default DRL dim on one side

I got a 2019 F Type R and the DRL on the driver side is significantly dimmer than the passenger side. The service advisor said that jaguar won't let them replace it as long as the light itself is working, even though it's not working as intended. Curious to see if any others have has this issue with their DRL? Thanks!

Have not had that issue. Mine are both consistently bright. No issues. I do not think it makes sense to not replace if it is not completely burned out?? That is just dumb. So if the car is accelerating, but sputters, it is still "running" so no issues right??
If the wheels roll, but wobble, they still roll...right? So if the lights were intended to light up at 5300K or 6000K, but they are dimmer...They are NOT functioning as intended!

If they want to play games like that, maybe pull the wiring diagram and put a surge through it to burn it all the way out...Then they are NOT working as intended

Experienced this issue with a 2018, it wasn't dramatic, but one of those things I couldn't un-see after seeing it.
Dealer agreed to take care of it without too much fuss. Replacement headlight has been on order for about 3 months now though.
I'd press the dealer to make the replacement as the MSRP on the headlights is ~4K.

Had issues with the drl's on our 2020 F-150 King Ranch. They replaced both headlights, twice. Wasn't the issue. It was the control module.

Pls excuse my mucking up your thread, Sirs. I am "in the saddle" pushin cows down a mountain at 26 degrees F. What is a DRL exactly?

If you're being serious, I'm very jealous right now. I miss those days... Probably seems crazy to you while you're in it, but when it's gone...you miss it.

Instead of asking a dealer to replace the light, tell them you just want them equally bright.

Post 7 might have the answer...

It seems that it is now my turn to deal with 2018 F-Type DRL failure. Only one segment on the left DRL functions and the entire DRL on the right is dim. Not even 34,000 miles on the odometer. I never had a headlight issue with my previous 2015 & 2016 F-Type S' with HID headlamps. (Well, that is except I had to have a headlamp assembly replaced on my 2015 thanks to a stupid deer.) How much you want to bet that the manufacturer of the headlamp or control module had defects. If there wasn't a DRL problem with HIDs why would there be a DRL problem with the new LED headlamps? Hopefully, the extended warranty hasn't expired.
