Eibach springs arrived today, fitting tomorrow, none available for the 4 pot so going with ones for the 3litre V6, will they fit hell knows , rear might be ok , may have to trim the front spring to get a bit lower due to engine weight.

The Eibach springs are by far the best choice for the F-Type, however the spring rate (especially the initial progressive portion) is not going to do well on the lighter front end of the I4. It will negatively impact handling but yes they fit.

Have to disagree with your comment on the handling, having the i4 and seems the first to do this, have to say that it handles is the same if not a bit better, you may say , well im going to say that anyway but in fact the i4 is only 54kg difference on the front end, split 50/50 each wheel and hardly noticeable, the front end is more planted in the corners , more aggressive
When Ftype17 talks about handling, he means weight transfer or how much the car squats under heavy acceleration or nose dives under heavy braking. With a lighter engine you have too-hard springs up front.
The end result of your mod is that you will have more understeer than stock setup.

can believe your comments and you both dont own a 2.0 to gauge by, more understeer, not at all, gave the car a good run today on winding roads , not a bit of understeer, the sharpness on turn in isnt a bit compromised, the weight transfer is minimal to say the least, the car lowers to the same height as the 3.0 engine even though slighty lighter engine.

Thank you and I should have been more specific. There is a misconception out there that leads people to believe that stiffer spring rates make for better handling always... When in fact they are a must when the car is lowered and yet the dampers are not set to work properly with the new rates. You effectively pointed out that stiffer springs will reduce the squat of the corner and indeed the car can and will oversteer more. Likewise, in the case of a RWD car, it also prevents the rear from launching more efficiently..
In no way did I mean to imply anything negative about the I4 Powerhouse, if you like the results, that's fantastic and enjoy it
I wish Eibach did springs for the AWD V8. I have always used eibach in my previous cars, they seem to offer the best balance of comfort and drop whereas H&R seems to be always on more aggressive side.

I am very happy with my KW H.A.S., and you can dial in whatever drop you want.
