Default Excessive Leather Wear and Fix

Figured I'd share this in case it happens to you and it might. My driver side left bolster really started to look bad (don't let your seat belt slap it). I actually thought I was going to need to replace the piece. Had the local leather repair guy come out and for $150 he made it look good as new. Had him fix the tired seat in my Infiniti and a bad tear in my Audi (both have vinyl with leather inserts and the vinyl isn't aging well). Here are some shots (before and after) but your local leather guy should be able to help you out.

If you are near San Jose CA I used:

Fibrenew Alameda County
Office: (510) 315-2275
Fax: (510) 315-3521

We were over there yesterday for some touch up. Really nice people and impressive quality.

They said they wouldn't after the first 12 months but would take it up with Marketing. For $150 I didn't want to wait for a ruling and he was willing to come to my house.

WOW! Worth every penny. Amazing how badly the leather can be damaged in less than a year...!
