Default F-Type auto grab cell phone holder

This was a hit at the NorCal f-Type meet:

https://www.knightspeed.co.uk/shop/f...-phone-holder/

I love it and think it's a very elegant solution for the F-Type. A combo of a 3D printed mount and a universal auto grab holder with built in wireless charging. I've had mine since October and have no complaints.

People should get referral commissions. LOL =) This is badass. Spendy, but solves a number of issues quite elegantly, so it's purchased and on its way! THANKS EEEEEEEEK!

You can piece this together yourself and get a much nicer mount to boot, for a lot less than 160 pounds. Check the phone mount thread for details - I posted my setup including the same 3d printed mount I printed myself.

This magnetic/wireless charging holder is what I use in the front power socket and it works well. Galaxy Note 9 with a thin case and it's never fallen off. $30... Just sayin'.

Amazon Amazon

This is mines. It opens automatically when you put the phone in front of it.

I just bought one of these. Looks like the perfect kit. Will report back with photos and thoughts as soon as it arrives from England.

For posterity, the 3D printed on is so batman-esque cool, but it interferes with any potential guest's view of the climate control and it gets in the way of 5th and 6th gear for the manual humans.
It's not wholly disruptive, but just enough I might go back to my other mount. Too bad as this is both cool and spendy. But it eats up enough real estate I might sell mine, if someone was thinking of one.

I'm embarrassed to say that having an automatic, I didn't even consider the throw of a stick shift. My father would be very dissappointed in me.

No no.... no guilt for you. I literally own one, saw your placement, and didn't even think about it. You can't have the hand on top of it, but you can shift by the shaft and it's sorta fine.
And I admit, it's hard to find a way into 6th gear most any day. =/ I do my best.

It's really just way too cool tho.

Yup! The normal one wouldn't be possible. It would hit the phone. But I like it horizontal anyways, so I'll be giving it a go for sometime. Maybe I'll add something like 20 mounts and vet them all to have a march madness of f-type cell phone holders. I'll need to get a couple ham radio antennas for the trunk and rear panels, too.

Follow up on this product.

*** KnightSpeed do not honor their warranty promise. ***

I informed him (Jonathan the owner) that my bracket had snapped (Dec 1, 2019) and I was promised two replacements after repeatedly following up. I asked for a tracking number and never received anything despite repeated responses from the seller this would happen. I am now without a product despite spending over $200 on this product. 2 1/2 months later and now all communication has stopped.

I would avoid this company altogether.

It is such a shame because he could very easily improve his customer service and deliver a great product. I don't understand why he chooses to deal with customers in this manner. I am not alone either.
