Damn the F-Type is hot right now.

But seriously, ouch. Possibly catastrophic engine failure based on hearing an explosion?

All great cars catch on fire (see Ferrari, GT3, etc.). Looks to be a vert, so use coupe owners don't have to worry

Default Now it's a street rod!

Now I know how to turn an F-Type into a modern hot rod easily. Just have to pry the molten aluminum off the engine and replace all the rubber and I'm good to go! I think I'll go back to carrying a fire extinguisher.

This is completely the owner's fault. How could they not know that you have to change those 12 little rubber tubes that connect the fuel rail to the fuel injectors?! It's basic XJS knowledge.

Oh wait wrong forum.

It looks like the base model? I don't see an S badge on the back.

That's really odd. I would have thought the V8 was most likely to catch fire.

It would be interesting to find out the cause. They mention an explosion and I suppose it could be sudden ignition of fuel spraying out from an injector connection which might seem like an explosion, or perhaps a crankshaft piecing the engine in a sensitive spot relative to combustion and fuel.
