Get yourself a copy of the F-Type V6S coupe Workshop Manual from my Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d52ciochjn...anual.pdf?dl=0
Be warned, it's 477 Mb and over 28,000 pages!
Then go to section 501-05 then Headliner - coupe, and the removal procedure starts around page 20500.
As per usual for Jag workshop manuals it tells you to remove and/or disable masses of parts but I suspect you can get away with not removing about half of them.

Are you having trouble with your headliner? Does anyone have trouble with the leather headliner seeming to be loose? Mine seems to have too much air between the leather and the next layer, like it isn't attached. Also at the front, it looks like it needs stretched and reglued, if they are glued. I'm waiting for warmer weather when the leather will expand some before I take it in for warrantee repair.

@OzXFR You are awesome. Exactly what I needed! Thank you.
@SS4PK It's more like I'm having trouble with a dealership. I had to get my front screen replaced, and ever since the repair there is an obnoxious clicking sound just above the driver's head. Like, I Am Going to Sell the Car kind of obnoxious. I asked them to take a look where the headliner seemed loose and wound up with a $450 bill for clips. Only that didn't fix anything, and they put it all back together wrong. Real wrong. There was a 2-inch gap between the dash and A pillar trim on either side, the weatherstripping on both sides was not flush with the track so that the windows were pinching the rubber, and within two days the clicking was back. Took it back, asked them to try again, they got the pillars right but the weatherstripping they simply tried to pull a bit off the track so that the glass wouldn't pinch. And the clicking returned again in a couple days. I gave them another shot, now I have clicking, the light cluster is not installed fully into the headliner, and there is a 1/2 inch gap between the body/roof and the leading edge of the headliner, clearly visible from outside of the car. At this point I don't want them touching anything, so I'll get the money back, fix it myself, and pass on the iPace I was about to order 👍👍👍

Another reason to pass on ordering any Jaguar is the fact that JLR has stepped into the political arena with their recent decision to pull advertising based on a failure to adhere to current progressive political correctness doctrine.

Care to enlighten those of us who aren't aware of such shenanigans?

A fair question, but we have a common interest on this forum that brings us together as car enthusiasts. Let’s not delve into the politics of the day that are so devicive. Please go to twitter and Facebook for that.
(a google search using Carlson, Jaguar and advertising as the search terms will answer your question)

I'm thinking I might need to drop my headliner because the panoramic roof shade sticks in one spot. It seems to have stopped now that it's (relatively) cold though, so have a season or two to decide if it's worth the effort.
It only started sticking this last summer. I'm not sure if the track tightened up or if the cloth on the shade is separating from the sliding frame.
Anyone else experience this?

I have a 2016 R coupe with panoramic glass and 770w system. I have a rattle when playing music between the back of the panoramic glass and the back window under the headliner. If I press up I can feel something loose under that area. Note rattle is there with or without the panoramic glass open.
Does anyone know whats under there or have a pic?
Thanks

For anyone who comes across this thread, I've downloaded the PDF manual and located the page number for the Headliner Removal as well as each of the references other processes required for removal:
I haven't actually done this, but hope this helps someone else. Side note: the PDF manual seems to have tons of duplicative sections that are apparently identical.
- Headliner Removal – Page 20522
- Supplemental Restraint System Precautions – Page 359
- A-Pillar Trim Panel Coupe – 20481
- Sun Visor – 20608
- Overhead Console - 22894
- Auto-Dimming Mirror - 20553
- C-Pillar Trim Panel - Coupe – 20499

Yes, in a big way. I think when OzXFR downloaded it, Topix gave him everything relevant to each section - handy if you're downloading just one section, but extremely redundant when downloading all of them. Still, once you figure out how to navigate it, I and many others have found it very useful - thanks again, Oz!
I didn't download anything from Topix myself, the mob I bought the manual from did that. How it worked was I gave them my car specs and VIN (and some money!) and they then "built" the manual from Topix and sent me a link to a download of the build.. They obviously did not take much care to avoid duplication and the manual is also missing a few bits and pieces which apply to my car and includes quite a lot of stuff which does not. Not great for me but sometimes helpful for others with different spec cars.
