Default F-Type R exhaust mods?

While keeping the stock exhaust..are there any cats or resonators I can delete? Just to up the volume a bit when in cruising mode. I saw a picture of the stock exhaust and saw no bumps except for the primary cats... is there even 2nd cats/resonators on this car?

Like i said, I just want to up the volume a bit, but keep my selectable exhaust modes.

Getting a resonator delete tomorrow if there are any.

Courtesy of Foosh, here's the layout for the R exhaust:https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f-type-x152-72/getting-rid-exhaust-resonator-replace-x-pipe-155169/#post1370992. Only 4 major components: one muffler, one x-pipe and 2 cats.

I am already concerned about tickets with 'loud button' pressed.

How one would handle the situation if LEO decides to throw a book at you for making too much noise (stock exhaust or otherwise) ?

If it's the stock exhaust, just demonstrate that in court and you'll get off, unless you were doing something like being intentionally loud next to a nursing home or something - meaning not using some discretion.

At any rate, if LEOs don't do anything about Harley's with straight pipes I'm not at all worried about the little bit of noise the V8 makes.

Yep; no way you could be cited for exhaust noise here if the car is stock.....one of the reasons I bought it.

....and ditto on the Harley thing; I am a motorcyclist and owned a Harley Electraglide classic (probably the only Harley in N/A with the stock exhaust! LOL) Even stock it's louder than the F type and all the gangster wannabees are running much louder exhausts or straight pipes....no tickets for them so if I ever get one for my car, I'll be dragging them to court.

There is no resonator on the R, and the x pipe serves a performance function. The only thing to do on a stock muffler system to make it louder is to replace the OEM cat with a 100 or 200 cell cat or remove the cat entirely. If you want to do something like this without having to reprogram, you'll need to stick with a 200 cell cat or denser (higher number) to avoid throwing an O2 code.

Dave, I just noticed you're in Kelowna. We are in Penticton, you have to come stop by the shop some time!

Do you have a 2WD or AWD? Our 200 cell sport cats are in production, still about 3-4 weeks off - our CNC bending company that makes the pipe section had an accident with a member of staff messing up his hand on the machine... yikes.

Anyway, for 2WD cars, we are pretty close. AWD we discovered has a slightly different tube run on the driver's side so we are still developing the CNC program for that side. Might be a little further off.

Yeah, I'll do that; actually I took the F type to Naramata this weekend. :-)

Cheers,
