I very much doubt that though....
Fitting the Sabelt bucket seats from the Project 7 in place of the wingback armchairs should go a long way to achieving that...

It would not be difficult, but it would reduce some of the "premium" feel/functionallity - and I doubt they will do that - unless they intend to make a "GT3" version, preparing for entering the "hardcore" GT3 series in the future....?

I would not mind a seat upgrade especially if it saved significant weight. The stock seats are more style than substance, at least the upgrade ones in my car. I don't hate them but I wouldn't miss them much either.

Looking at Sabelt seats I would definitely want to try before I buy. I would have to drop the top just to get into and out of the car with the extreme side bolsters.

Anyone have any leads on a source for aftermarket racing seats in the Seattle area? Or custom built seats? Other than pulling a set out of an Abarth Fiat?

Highly unlikely that any weight will be saved. XKR-S and XKR-S GT weight the same as the XKR. Engine and suspension tune, some aero bits. XKR-S was $134k versus a $100K XKR approximately. The GT was obviously more expensive but also ultra rare with only about 30 units for North America. Range Rovers are way more expensive.

Cost, and Price, are independent variables. So they'll charge whatever they think they can get away with.

Default Jaguar F-Type SVR Convertible spy photos

This is going to be nice.

From the article:
We have seen the Jaguar F-Type SVR testing several times but only in coupe version and now its soft top brother has joined the action ahead of an undisclosed official launch in the first half of next year 2016.

I'd be pretty disappointed if any SVR came with that brake package. Doesn't look like much more than a bumper, splitter, rear wing and a different set of wheels. Perhaps its not an SVR at all or its only to test the aero package.

Yes, my guess is it will just be what you say above, plus an ECU tune for another 50HP, perhaps a few minor suspension tweaks, and what they consider interior "upgrades." Those plastic and interior bits, perhaps shocks and springs, plus tune will cost you another $50K over the current R price.

I concur. Another 'special edition' that isn't very special at a premium price. I'd hazard a guess that it will have many of the features of the project 7, AWD, and an ECU tune probably from the Project 7.

There is absolutely no way I would pay any more than $120k for the SVR. Above that price, I would prefer a 911 Turbo S or an AMG-GT.

Since you can get an R for more than that, I can promise it will cost more haha

I think the landscape will look something like this:

$100-$120: 911 Carrera, F-Type R
$130-$150: 911 Carrera S, AMG GT
$150-$180: AMG GT-S, F-Type SVR, 911 GT3
$180+: 911 Turbo/Turbo S

What other cars am I missing in these price ranges?

Range Rover Sport Supercharged starts at $79950 and SVR starts at $111350. Thats plus 28%! With R coupe at $103600 at similar increase would be $132600 at base price, If ceramic is standard figure $145000. Add wheels, carbon fibre, etc. and $160000 wouldn't be too far off. More for convert! The high end autobiography interior on the RRS adds $15K! This is the same company. Squarely in 911 Turbo land and AMG GTS territory.

Default 2016 Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe spied with loud exhaust – Video

That is one loud exhaust.

From the article:
If you can believe it or not, the Jaguar F-Type has been criticized for being way too loud. Well, if you’re one of the nine people out there that think the Jaguar F-Type’s too loud, then don’t watch the video below.

Although hard to tell for sure with the camo, it appears to be the Project 7 nose, with the grill bar.

Yep, P7 front intakes with lower CF splitter. Optional rear fixed spoiler (which can be retrofitted now), CCB's, and I reckon slightly larger/wider rear wheel arches.

I'm not convinced it's louder than a standard V8R with it's flaps open!?

I does look like a Nissan (Datsun) GTR form the front ;-)

Default SVR sound bite

About half way through the clip. Sounds awesome especially - in the last pass - though the Camaro is a close second in aural goodness

Nurburgring Spy Footage scoop: Alfa Romeo Quadrifolglio, Honda NSX, Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, Jaguar F-Type SVR, Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera, 2016 Porsche 911, Chevrolet Camaro ZR1?
