0-60 in 3.2 isn't that much faster than the AWD already is...

That should be the figure for the AWD R... that or very close to it.

Default If it's power you love..

Just buy this:
http://m.racechip.com/chiptuning/jaguar/f-type/f-type/5-0-kompressor-364kw/index.php

Add some Michelin Pilot Super Sports - and you're likely to have a better looking car (I prefer the shark-gill brake inlets of the non-SVR F Types) - and if you've got some ***** and know how to drive - you can have a lighter one too (chiptune a RWD V8S without torque vectoring brakes).

If done to a convertible- I'd imagine that would be the purest drive the F Type could offer without major oily-bit work under bonnet.

Cheers,
Aus V8S

The front bumper intakes remind me of the LFA.

It will most likely have the front bumper of the project 7.

Heres the direct link.

This has a bigger spoiler than previous shots we saw. More like it!

Are those 21inch wheels?

Crossbar on grille still there praying they remove it before production. If so I'm all in.

I would love that look on my car. But my guess is that it will end up with the front bumper bar when it actually arrives in the US.

That or maybe they'll just offer STO N SHO plates as a factory option!

I wouldn't be surprised if it's on the US version. The US version doesn't get the chopped off windscreen due to regulations.

+1. I don't think anyone has seen a US version yet. (Maybe none even built yet)

From my 'research', and help me out here, the protrusion INTO the front bar is just a piece of foam, correct? So, theoretically, a more angled surround piece, coupled with a one piece grill, and removal of the foam will do the trick, aesthetically.

Not that I could do it, but for a more experienced composites man, that should be an afternoon? Maybe two? Point being, is there something I'm missing? I don't even have the car yet but if my assumptions are even close, there's no way that bar makes it to 2016.

Yes, that's possible. The US 2.5 mph impact bumper regs merely require that no "major systems" can be damaged by a front or rear solid barrier impact. That doesn't mean there's no damage at all, just that such an impact doesn't render the car non-functional.

If you look at the rear of the car, there's no "protection" back there, but it passes the std. because nothing major would be damaged even though there would be costly cosmetic damage.

To fill you in I have made investigations into making a custom front grille with a couple of different mod shops including one high end (Cars Dwaydiak) here in SF. The issue they have with making the F-Type 7 grille is the factory hex look. They actually need one in order to fabricate one correctly. They did tell me they can do the 'Arden look' with the fake mesh but I may just wait for an SVR personally. The fake mesh looks a bit cheap for me..

Oh and cost wise it was about $3600 to do the mod last time we discussed it.

Yeah, I'll have to see what I can cook up. I hear sorcerers have these 3D printing machines nowadays.

Now, about those Project 7 decals. Any good sources? All the vinyl I've seen in the past from graphics shops are sub-par.
