I agree. Our spoiler is a little unique in that you don't see a lot of them on F types on the road.

 

What kind is it and how does it install?

 

It was called a "power spoiler" on the F Type window sticker. I purchased this 2016 F Type as a CPO car in TX and it came that way from the factory.

Lovely car, is your front panel a bit off (circled) Couple of spots on my own needed adjusting even from the factory at just a year old, panel alignment must be missed in the production process, seems lots of cars have problems, doors mostly.

 

Thx. Yes its a bit off where you circled it. Its also a bit off on the driver side as well.

 

Easy fixed.
There are bonnet/hood "stoppers" - black plastic/rubber hex shaped about 1" across - under the fronts and sides of the bonnet/hood that are height adjustable by screwing them in or out, have a play with them and see how you go.
Usually takes a bit of trial and error but you will eventually get there.
You may also need to adjust the fore-aft fit of the front bumper, just remove some/all of the six bolts across the front on top of the bumper under the hood (either all six or just the three on one side or t'other), push/pull the bumper in or out a little, then refit the bolts. The bumper has about 5 mm of fore and aft play, and after moving it you may need to hold it firmly in place while refitting the bolts to stop it moving back to where it was.
Last but not least you can also adjust the bonnet/hood fit by undoing the front bracket mounting bolts and nudging the hood around a little then doing the bolts up again.
This can be done by yourself but much easier with a helper!
Some combination of all three of these will usually get all the panels lined up nicely but it can take a couple of hours of trial and error coz most of the time as soon as you move one another goes out of whack. The secret is little tiny adjustments each time then test by shutting the bonnet/hood and inspecting the gaps and alignment, no big movements.

I am told it was a oxygen sensor so I will have them look at the front end while it is in the body shop as I am also having the wheels powder coated. Kill two birds with one stone.
