As Atwell suggested above...This is the approved procedure and keeps the tranny in top shape if you continue to do the maintenance. To do a "flush", you need special (expensive) equipment, and you will likely never get ALL of the fluid out, without tearing the transmission completely down.

Also, this is the procedure approved by the company (ZF) that manufactures these transmissions. As always, do what works for you.

If you do regular fluid changes, the new fluid will protect the innards and there will be no chance of clogging or issues caused by flushing. Just reduce the time/mileage between ATF replacement.

Ah ok, at this point, since my car is 5 years old and 30,000 km, I think it is better to do an change of the transmission oil in the way you described, without any washing.
I think that if I repeat the operation in 2-3 years I could avoid creating residues inside the transmission.
