Salesman probably should have mentioned that you have included service for 5 years

Ours are free as well. I cant find first service note, but second is to replace oil and filter, replace cabin air filter, top up washer fluid, then like 20 items that say check (I'm sure they did, hmmmm) and top up as necessary, reset service interval announcement, put a sticker on (seriously). It's essentially like when your wife leaves you at home alone for the weekend and you have to make the one hour of actual work that you did around the home sound like 15 hours of work otherwise she will clue on that you spent all that time watching naughty movies

"What did I get up to while you were away? Oh I had to arrange a number of 15cm ceramic recepticles in optimum decontamination position after having carried out preliminary debris removal and then rearrange to accommodate the application of fluid to the serated cutting mechanisms and then I had to do likewise with the 30cm ceramic utensils, and then..."
"Oh, so what did you do after you stacked the dishwasher?"

A bit like that, I think.

Yep, the first service is nothing but an engine oil and filter change, and "inspect" or "check" (coff) a bunch of things.
Well at least it is/was for the V6 and V8, probably the same for the I4 but maybe an extra or two.

My dealer contacted me this evening about my first service for my 2.0. €590 or £516 , WHAT, for a oil and filter change, we will see if any updates and check other levels he said, my god what are they thinking, going to a specialists car dealer who does other sports cars, he's doing the service, at half the price, genuine parts and booked stamped so all good for warranty.
The oil filter only cost less than £10 https://www.britishparts.co.uk/jagua...gine-2-0-c4610

I'm a little confused. I thought all F-Types came with free maintenance for the first 60,000 miles/5 years.

I'm afraid in Ireland the word Free doesn't apply to anything

think it depends on country.

You don't have to have services done at Jaguar dealer even during warranty.
Appropriate quality parts, respected independent dealer is fine.

No longer have service book to stamp in UK

Online service history, (OSH ) reputable independent service shops that deal with Jaguar will be able to update the OSH online

The only thing I would like if there was updates, not sure if an independent non jag workshop can get these, also if you go over the 12 month period from day of sale to service is the warranty still ok

In the US, the first 5 yrs of "Included" maintenance, once every 12 months, mine's every January, involves oil & filter change (my dealer uses Pennzoil Ultra Platinum), cabin filter change, top off fluids, a few visual checks, & an exterior car wash. No extra cost at check out, since it was included in the price of the car purchase.

I hope you don't let them do the exterior car wash part!
Especially not a black car!
