Thank you for that great list of part numbers. The factory Al. pipe numbers need to be posted everywhere!

This has probably been discussed but does the leaking pipes effect my 202 R?

Thank you

Note that Robert’s list is for the V8. Some parts are different for the V6.

I just had mine done a couple of months ago. I'll pull up the work order as soon as I get a chance and put that BOM here.

Great info! Most parts were the same for my 400 sport with the exception of the engine cooler outlet flange which is part AJ814053. You saved me a lot of time, thank you!

Bumping this thread up, finally getting around to ordering the parts, ordered the newer aluminum JLR upper and lower pipes, the upper pipe I received had a good bit of grinding done on it. That normal?? Especially the mount points look like they were ground down. See pics

For a cast aluminum part, that looks fairly normal -- perhaps a bit more grinding than average. The part is cast, in a sand or ceramic mold, and is not at all flat, smooth, or even anywhere. All the mechanical surfaces -- hose barbs, bolt brackets, etc -- will then be machined to appropriate tolerances. There will be other surface grinding done where the casting sprue is cut off (technically its probably more properly where the gates and/or risers were cut) . Any other places where there were mold issues will also be cleaned up.

As long as the inside is "smooth", it will be fine. I put quotes around smooth as it will be relative. The inside will not have a machined surface, so it will have whatever the natural casting surface is. What you wouldn't want is protrusions into the cavity.

Would be fun to grind down all the other casting ID numbers and such and spray the part satin black before install, make it look like the 2nd design plastic one.

Just finished the job with their V6 kit. Everything good quality, fit well. no leaks, and my Y-pipe was completely crystallized at the engine inlet also. I strongly recommend reading the very complete thread writeup by GerbilEngineer and watching the YouTube videos by Onca Engineering. It took a week of part time days and I am delighted to have saved several thousand dollars.

I bought the available parts very early. Not all available in Alum! But no problems! Plastic bits were upgrade from JLR at the time and way less expensive. Used Jag water pump.

Thanks for the validation - inside is just fine, was just thinking OEM cast parts would be more finished. Not a problem just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting something tampered with and returned.

Lol - and maybe weld a bead on either side (or epoxy) to fake a seam

I am probably a little too **** about things, but I've read enough posts and talked to enough mechanics where I get cold feet using the entire kit. Honestly by now the V3 kit is probably good, but I decided to piece together my own. I know this is the umpteenth time a parts list like this has been posted, so apologies in advance, but can someone in the know take a look and make sure my list is complete? Want to make sure I'm not missing anything small, gaskets, o-rings, that will get me stuck for a few days during the install (mine is the V8, 2015 MY)

Engine Coolant Outlet Flange LR186917 (JLR alloy)
Engine Coolant Outlet Flange LR186859 (JLR alloy)
Water pump AJ813909 (OEM)
Oil cooler inlet RKX alloy
Metal WP to Thermostat Outlet RKX alloy
JLR Rear Xover AJ814056 (plastic OEM)
JLR OEM Thermostat C2Z19929 (OEM)
Coolant hose C2Z28258
thermostat hose kit C2Z28467
SC Oil Superchargers Online Eaton
SC coupler (solid) ZZP (both shapes, mine is a 2015)
Supercharger Belt VAP
Intake Manifold Gasket AJ811590
Intake Plenum Gasket AJ811948
Oil Cooler Line O-Ring AJ811539 x2
Throttle body gasket C2Z28265
Oil cooler gasket AJ811904
Coolant hose C2Z22073
coolant hose AJ813614
overflow hose T2R5910
coolant bleed plug LR011038
Coolant hose LR031393
Crank case vents C2D60163
Symposer plug AJ813002

Optional:
Other Belt - probably needs changing, part #?
Valve Cover Bolts - might be corroded, part #?
Remove foam padding under SC

Electronic Brake Vaccuum Pump Update (VAP) - considering this as I've read of catastrophic failures from a seized mechanical pump, opinions?
Tensioner Upgrade (VAP) - VAP has a stronger tensioner intended for those with pulley upgrades, opinions?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!!

Brad

I'm also in the same situation, I need to get this done, but I'd rather piece together the best parts from OEM/various vendors. Thank you for posting this, it's really helpful to have a list to build on, do you know offhand of any parts that might be different with a 2018 R vs the 2015?

Brad,

I am just starting... picking up the car in a few hours. Not new to Jaguars but new to the F-Type. I did order the ZZPerformance coupler (https://ebay.us/m/iAsbup). I was not going to risk that. I plan to do the same with the water pump, best to get an original unit. But the rest will be from that kit...
