Default Glamour Pics

My toy spent the day at the car spa getting a Brila Coating on the weekend and they throw in some glamour pics as well. They are quite "enhanced" but still nice pics.

Enjoy.

You might have an issue with your pad seating, as brake disk in a close-up picture shows uneven wear. Hard to tell to what depth, it might be possible to burn it off with repeated hard braking.

Holy lens flare JJ Abrams! jk.

Looks good. Its interesting to see the rear foglight/reverse light differences globablly vs North American cars.

Those grooves typically caused by grit/sand getting between rotor and the pads. More likely to get worse over time. Doesn't really affect braking until a new set of pads are installed. The pads then need to conform to the uneven rotor before they have full grab again. The right solution is to turn the rotors when the pads are replaced, but I'll bet dollars to donuts that the mechanic will insist on rotor replacement since any cutting will make the rotor fall outside of manufacturer's tolerances. This, at least, is the case with BMW products. I suspect the Jag tolerances are similarly tight.

This was done by the guy who put my Brila glad paint coating on. Yes they are quite "enhanced". But I thought it was nice to have them.

Hadn't noticed that about the brake discs, will have to have a look at it. They don't look that bad in real life.

Great pictures!

I don't think you have a rotor wear problem. It looks like a visual artifact (exaggerated contrast) of the special effects used in the photos. If you look closely, those same artifacts make it look like you need some repainting on certain panels, but I'm sure that's not the case. :-)

Yes that's true, no repainting required as yet.
