Hazard Light stays on middle console
Hey folks,
Yesterday i drove my car after two days and saw the middle hazard light illuminated. After i went to start the car i said charge battery turn on ignition. This happened when i got my car back from the dealership.
every time i lock the car - before the hazard light button would turn off but now when i look it, it stays on.
Any solutions to this folks?

Very common battery drain issue, usually from something improperly disconnected from the OBD II port. You can reset it by disconnecting one of the leads on the battery in the trunk for 30 seconds, then reconnecting. You'll have to reset the auto up/down windows and possibly the auto close on the hatch (if you have a coupe) but both of those are very easy. These cars like a full battery at all time so consider a battery tender if the car sits for extended periods of time between drives.

Correct on removing the negative lead from the battery from where it is grounded to a bolt on the floor under the storage bin.
To reset the windows after reconnecting the battery: Press the button to lower the window completely. The pull up on the button and hold it for several seconds after the window raises completely.
Check the auto down/up function by pressing the button for just a fraction of a second to see if it lowers completely and then pull up the button the same way to see if it raises completely. If not, try the fiest step again.
For the hatch: (Starting with the hatch raised) Pull the grab handle and pull down the hatch manually until almost closed and then let it latch. Then try the button under the hatch lid, the button on the fob or the button on the dash. The hatch should pop open and raise, and the auto close buttons should also lower & latch the hatch closed when pressed again.
And yes it's a good idea to get a CTEK (or similar) device.

All above of course correct, but I would add "Tell the dealer!" Many of them still don't seem to realise that without backing out of the OBD port properly, they leave the car permanently discharging the battery. This can of course damage the battery as well if it's allowed to go too flat too often.
