Hood alignment shifted at high speeds
Hoping someone has gone through this. I am on a road rally with my SVR.
on the first leg I got up to around 190mph. I started noticing that the hood seems to be catching wind and moving around so I slowed down and checked when we stopped.
the hood has shifted back into the door panels. And the gap it creates let’s in air which flexes the hood at speed...
and suggestions for roadside diy repairs? I’ve taped up the gaps to stop air from flowing in and causing any more shift but the hood is far enough back to rub on the doors when you open them.

The main things holding the hood in place are the four 16 mm bolts on each of the two front hinge plates, and they do allow some leeway for fore/aft adjustment.
So that is the first thing I would check - loosen off those eight bolts just a tad, push/pull the hood forward a tiny amount, then do them up good and tight.
Much easier with a helper than by yourself, don't ask how I know this!
