Found my convertible R in british racing green, 2 states & 1,000 miles away.
Fully "broken in" by the time I drove her home...

Yes it was, have the print out and everything. I took a look at the engine bay and under all covers and such and seems it was caught before any rust or whatnot set in. From the notes of that record seems it was sudden rather than corroding the bits and pieces over time. All looks fresh and clean underneath.

Does that mean referring to it as "my 4X4" is out?

Noted.

I was looking for a fun car for my wife that I would also drive from time to time so it had to be something she really liked the looks of and it had to be fast and perform well for me to like it (my main "fun" car is an 1100HP Redeye Widebody Challenger). We also wanted it to be something uncommon in this area of the country. We narrowed it down to either a Mercedes AMG GT(S) or F-Type SVR. Both of the cars were sexy and mean-looking and you never see either model here in Lexington, Ky. We looked online for months and within the same week found a AMG GT(S) in Memphis and the SVR up in New York state. I was leaning towards the AMG GT but once I started looking at the window sticker and options I couldn't believe that the AMG GT didn't have stuff like blind-spot monitoring among other options a 135k plus car should have standard. The Jaguar SVR was a one-owner '17 and only had 7,000 pampered miles on it, along with being loaded-out with virtually every option available except carbon ceramic brakes. Ultimately the all-wheel drive, fully loaded options, and potential investment value made the difference. We decided to go with the SVR as it was the ultimate F-Type rather than one of the lower-end trim levels (S) of the AMG GT. After requesting a bunch more specific photos that the dealership was happy to provide, I bought it having never test driven it. I had it shipped down to me in Lexington and so far have loved every minute of ownership. I have added custom 3-piece forged wheels, new Michelin PS4s, 200 cell sport cats, gloss red calipers, a VAP lower pulley, and VAP tune to set it apart from any other SVR we may encounter. I don't think I could have gone wrong with either choice, as both of these cars will eventually appreciate in value if well cared for. Hell, the SVR's have already appreciated a good bit in the current market as they no longer make the SVR model and it was a very limited production trim to start with!
