Question How do I clear ''Service Required'' and Torque Pro IAT2 Q

Wondered if anyone had any joy clearing a ''Service Required'' message using Torque Pro as it doesn't seem to flag as a fault code in the app?

Also at the weekend I wanted to take some IAT2 temperature readings for another thread, however Torque Pro is reading 80C at cold! I have checked the .csv PID file and am 100% sure that it's not the imperial one, and that my IAT2 sensor is good...any other plausible reason that this is not within a gnat's crotchet of the IAT temp?
It's quite possible that I'm doing something daft, however other members seem to be getting reasonable readings?

I did the following:

Turn on ignition (foot off brake so engine doesn't start)
Open the bonnet and the driver's door
Stand on the brake AND throttle for at least 10 seconds
Turn off ignition
Service indicator should be reset

It got me an extra 13,000 miles to next service.

You get credit, however for answering Tel’s question 40 minutes after he asked. Super service, is our motto.

And nearly all the documents I link to were snagged off this forum too...

I have 'torque pro' as an app also, but I use it to make roadmovie's with the dials in the video. Sofar I didn't dare to plug the OBD2 plug into the F-Type, as I read several threads about error
codes that then are generated and JLR voids your guarantee.. ??

I contacted my dealer and JLR to provide me with a type/make of OBD2 plug [ ISO standard, they'te obliged to comply], which they approve of, and if I use that no effect will be linked to my
guarantee..

Its still pending and we're leaving next week. But as I understand you are already pluggin OBD2 plugs in with BT/WiFi links ???

Mine did that too, but the dealer sorted it out. And then told me there was no "sneaky" way to reset it, like I could in the XKR. What do they know, eh?

Nah, the hood is the soft top you can drop on a convertible.
You'll be boasting about driving with a lead trunk next!

Will this work for a 2010 Jaguar XK? I'm tired of getting an oil change every 750 miles just to get the service reset. Thanks. Doesn't seem to work for my 2010 XK. Am I doing something wrong or is this reset just for the F Type? Thanks all.

Almost zero chance it will work on a 2010 XK.
There is/was a completely different procedure for the 2008 - 2015 XF which I reckon is a good chance of working on your XK, attached.
But it's tricky, you have around two seconds to complete steps 1 to 5!
You need to memorise and practice the steps and eventually you will succeed.

Thank you! You are right. It is tricky. I had to do it several times and very fast! It's out finally! Just saved myself the $150+ oil change and I just barely have 10,850 miles. Thanks all.

That's no worse than carrying things around in your foot apparel.
