I haven't seen a good luggage thread in some time!
On the other hand, I’ve owned—and still have them—three (much older) variations of these (no private jet required).

Found that luggage on an all carbon fiber product website searching for license frame caps. You can get a duffle bag, cuff links and matching fedora or western hat in carbon fiber. Many, many other carbon fiber accessories at steep prices.
Steep indeed. That carry-on is the most expensive thing I saw when browsing the site. I had not noticed the cowboy hat. Or the collar stays. I have a pair of one-off titanium shot glasses, so if they had beer mugs to go with them I might consider it.
[QUOTE=lizzardo;2462574]Not right now. The upholstery didn't match the car so I dumped it. I figured I'd get another when COVID settles down, so I suppose I should start looking.

Now that I have an SVR with full carbon fiber options, I need to resist temptation to go and accessorize in kind. (I am liking the carbon fiber more than I though I would). The luggage and fedora/cowboy hat are out of consideration for sure.

I’m happy to do my part—wearing my beautifully handmade “Wizard” hat—and personally i can see jaguny wearing that carbon fiber fedora without any problem whatsoever.

we've keycard collar stays in our industry, for guests. They're plastic and work really well, and are already pre-punched into the keycard like a hotel room keycard, but you can also just cut up a hotel key and it works well. Do remove them prior to dry cleaning, tho. I love metal ones, but carbon fibre is a bit much LOL
[QUOTE=RickyJay52;2462822]Hmmmm. ..... It is only $200. I probably wouldn't be let into the house again. Maybe it will go on sale. Don't think I can wear it while driving though.
Bringing this back from the dead. I'm searching for good soft luggage for the wife and I to fill out the convertible truck nicely. I found that my Briggs and Riley soft bag is not soft enough to be made to fit.
I've looked for it a few times and always came up bust.
With the convertible, space is even more confined so I just use a variety of soft-sided bags that I have collected over the years. All different sizes and shapes including a leather overnight bag, small duffel bag, beach bags, small shoulder bags, etc. They can be molded to fit the contours of the trunk/boot interior and I just divide up what I'm bringing. My wife and I have easily done a week-long road trip by packing everything carefully. It's JLR Tetris.
First thing, this is conversation, none of this is recommendation. I can't trust anything online anymore. But, I've realized we're the only ones that will figure this out, and I'd love to find replacement options, as well.
As to the original 5 piece.... I did find what appears to be a legit store, but I am not fully linking it. terrysjag dot com/product/JFTLUGSET.html
I did some searching, and I've no idea of it or the history. I know it's been mentioned on different forums in the past. But I did find a thread about there being a new owner as of last year:

BUT THE UPSHOT: I may have been the only to both own that original set, and speak to it. I did a 2 week 4000 or so road trip in 2016, and it fit really well... the garment in the thin part of the vert trunk, the rest nestled in, but if you're packing it more than 50-75% full, it's tight, you do have to wedge the two bags in (sorta ended up with anxiety on the morning before heading out), and by the end, the main suitcases were definitely ripping and tearing, looking beat up, and I knew they wouldn't have many more trips. They got killed in a water main break, tho. The dob kit was fine, and the laptop case was too small to function as anything. THE GARMENT BAG... was great, lasted a long time, I used it for 2-3 day work trips, and it was great. But the overall build quality, I believe, would not live up to anyone's expectations. I would not buy the set, all things considered.
When you google image search f-type convertible luggage, there is a lot of exciting stuff, but you quickly realize much is beyond bespoke, or luxury (vs premium) level good. Or a scam. The internet is a pretty unreliable and dangerous place right now. This looks amazing: https://roadster-bag.com/en-us/produ...dels-from-2017
The stress of not having reliable luggage for the convertible has made it less enjoyable for my wife to take on trips. I'd love to keep brainstorming, or find people who've overpaid for or pioneered cool solutions! =)

I'm with you, fishbits. I'd like to go with some nice soft bags that fit well and look nice. The dimentions of the trunk are odd and I know my wife has a tendancy to fill a bag, so I don't want something she can easily fill to the point where it won't fit.
I've got some options marked. I'll dig them out and maybe we can help solve the issue together.
FYI - We were just in Napa last weekend.

You've got convertible problems; I'm sympathetic but a coupe guy. I see the Briggs & Riley garment bag rated highly, but not sure about other styles of soft luggage. I've got a Victorinox carry-on that I like. This seems the closest in their current lineup:
https://www.victorinox.com/en-US/Pro...-Bag/p/653559/
I also have a bigger wheeled duffel I got for a motorcycle trip. The previous gear bag I got was for older weight/size limitations that's far too easy to load past weight limits (Ogio) but the Victorinox fits a helmet, boots, leathers, gloves, etc.
Overall, I can recommend the brand, although they don't seem to make either of the pieces I've got anymore. Hopefully they're still OK. I do see that they have a garment bag, but I don't generally travel with garments, just clothes.

I'm picturing the look the wife would give me if I told her to use a Hefty bag...

More seriously, a few closable cloth bags have found residence in the luggage well of our 'vert. EVERYBODY is happy.
