Too extreme for me. Thought the previous GT was a terrific take on the original.

Sweet car. Perhaps Jeremy Clarkson should get one in honor of his US contract (to replace his old one that didn't have the range to cover the commute to Top Gear).

I really like it. If I had $400K I might be tempted to get the GT over a Ferrari 488. Definitely over the McLarens, looks way better.

Everything I've read says it was developed to be competitive at Le Mans. That dictated the design.

The previous GT was not.

Just bought a ford gt out of US

Was looking for one for ages in right spec, colour and mileage, in the interim the prices kept going up

This new model with v6 makes it a good purchase and even more of a future collectible

From what I've heard the GT prices have skyrocketed in last few years. Been a great "investment" for those who bought it a few years ago. I do hope that Jaguar eventually comes out with a $300K car like the CX-75...

With the limited number of GT's being made do you think they make it out of the top ford dealers? The owners will probably keep a good portion on the floor and sell later. If you had sat on the previous GT Heritage you would be more than tripling your investment.

when i first started looking at the '05 GT, they were around the 150-180 mark. I ended up paying mid 250's a good year+ later, but my example was still in dealer plastic

i don't see the values going up anything like period f or p cars, but i didn't have anything american in the collection, this being the last generation of analogue supercars (the new car being a v6 just affirms that), so it's a good purchase even without any kind of skyrocketing appreciation
