Default Ian Callum's FType

Ian Callum traded his Salsa Red F -Type for the new 2016 model. So what color and trim did Ian Callum choose. He tweeted he took it to Scotland on its first outing this weekend.

The man knows style and what colors best show the car's lines...Silver was my second choice.

Wink

...and interesting to note that he chose the V8R model in two wheel drive!

Got to be the model to have if the man himself choses it surely ;-)

I think that proves he's a hooligan at heart.

Actually someone on Twitter asked him about the AWD and he stated his new car does not have it. I guess one of the perks of being the designer is to opt out of what now appears to be a standard feature. It also indicates that he considers the rear wheel drive in this car preferable to AWD as he certainly would have kept the AWD if he felt otherwise.

UK spec cars have the choice of either AWD or RWD same as Australia and some other markets. Only North America dropped the RWD option.

As with the other options, it's apparent the yanks are too damned stupid to make their own choices. It's the torment we have to bear for winning 2 previous wars over 200 years ago.

I wonder why the North American market will not have the option of 2WD?

I'm upgrading form the V8S Cab to the V8R Cab, and there's no way I would opt for 4WD and lose any of the 'fun'!

To have it is no option seems odd...guess it's safety or market demand/volume orientated.

Yes that car is not AWD. It has the regular R badge just like my car. It doesn't have the AWD R badge.

If the interior is red he (Ian) is channeling his concept car.
