How bright is the illumination on these treadplates?

in particular, during the day do they appear black, Blue or is the lettering hard to see because of the low contrast in daylight vs the metal surround?

After 4 months of waiting I received the personalized treadplates I ordered from Jaguar and am wondering whether to install them with or without the lighting. thanks!

 

I really like mine and would definitely install the lighting.
When you open the door at dusk and beyond the illuminated Jaguar sticks out and looks very elegant!

Plus, if you ever sell the car the new owner will wonder why the hell lighting was not installed.

ILLUMINATE!!!

I wonder if the blue lighting is bright enough that you can't make out the lettering when it's bright sunlight

 

I think in that second one it was cloudy but it looks about the same with maybe a blue tint or reflection.

 

This is inside the dealership garage the day I picked it up. All I got.

 

I agree with Walt.. mine is simply the Jaguar name plate and it shows up quite well, even on a sunny day.

BTW, the personalized lettering is quite a bit smaller than the JAGUAR on the stock treadplates. I was initially disappointed but after some thought I like it a lot better, because it'd be a bit over the top to have the owner's name show up in huge letters a la Donald Trump. British understatement works really well.

 

I really regret not getting these they look so cool. The price to add them now its a bit absurd
