Hello,

after I could retrofit Incontrol Apps in my 2014 MY F-type yesterday I get this message:

"The Spotify application will be withdrawn from InControl Apps on September 30th 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause".

It was the only app that I used and I am very dissapointed , what happened with Jaguar?
I live in Belgium so I don´t know if this problem also exists in the USA.

Not only that, InControl no longer works on my display since iOS 13. JLR customer service looking into it.

 

Spotify was just about the only useful app in there. Ah well, just via bluetooth from now on.

 

Jaguar has completely abandoned it. It’s wrong and unless they figure out a way to retrofit Apple CarPlay through the InControl platform, this is otherwise unacceptable.

 

I had CarPlay installed this spring on my ‘18 XE with InControl Pro.

 

Just noticed this yesterday. Dissapointed they would do this witn no alternatives offered.

it will be possible but only with InControl touch plus.

 

How do you distinguish between InControl Touch and InControl Touch Plus? Which F-Types had what? What I've found from JLR is... just marketing fluff with no useful information.

 

That would be nice. But I won't get my hopes up. Anybody got a contact at Jaguar we can get more info from. Or raise our concerns (complaints) to?

 

InControl Touch Pro (not Plus) has a wider screen, and no physical buttons - what I have in my '18 XE.

The only reason for me to use the in control apps was 'spotify'.

Now my late 18 has an incompatible non undatable radio. Obsolete in less than 18 months!

My daughter is looking for a sedan. Guess what I will recommend she not buy.

Kudos to my 2016 Ram pickup. It has lots of apps and works and is undatable.

While i very much love my F type, frankly. all of the electronics suck on it. Half *** at best.

 

Well...my 2017 F-Type SVR can’t get Car Play and InControl Apps are now useless. Too bad, it had promise and it was actually ahead of its time with the JustDrive app (discontinued last year).

I just got Echo Auto to make up for this uselessness.
