Default Indoor Car Cover

Just wanted to give a well-deserved shout out to CoverCraft car covers. About a year ago I purchased an indoor cover for one of my cars and it’s smooth as silk (even if it’s not silk). Highly recommended!

For your garage flooring, is tha a matt under the car and on top of the epoxied floor, or is it more integrated?

Are they washable is the more important question. If not it’s inevitable that those things will eventually put swirl marks in your car due to the act of putting them on and off. That’s what I read at one point. Makes some logical sense to me unless one absolutely perfect in their handling of the covers and never get any dirt in them.

That said, yeah, those look like some quality covers for sure.

The brand i bought is called G-Floor—I bought two 7 feet 6 inches X 17 feet in the “small coin” pattern in black.

G-Floor states that it is. Washable too.

See answer above @DMeister . Yes, those covers are quality and, as we all know, quality ain’t cheap.

Best regards,
Jay

I have PPF installed on my F-Type so it doesn't need a cover, lol.

Yes, the problem with any cover no matter how soft is swirl and scratch marks in the clear coat (even if clean and especially if dusty) whilst putting on and taking off.

Asking for those who store their cars in commercial storage units with fire sprinklers above. If the sprinklers were activated building-wide a waterproof cover would be extra security especially for those with convertible tops.

@RickyJay52 that is a beautiful garage - never seen wood paneling used like that!

@JagCode3 thank you very much. I love the way my recent interior renovation came out (nicest garage I’ve even been in, or seen). I’m just waiting for “art museum” plaques—foam core labeling—to affix to each piece of art hanging in my garage. Just a nice je ne sais quoi.

I only cover my cars after I’ve made sure that the car is clean. Most of the time I do not cover them at all. Paraphrasing the phenomenon Heineken Jackie Stewart (driving a White F-Type V6S) beer commercial, “No thanks. I’m still driving”.

Cheers!
Jay

So do I! As stated above, I use my car covers sparingly and only when I know I do not plan to drive any of them on a regular basis.

I read the same. It makes no sense to me because that is all it brings…Opportunity for scratches…but to each their own. It might make sense if you were storing your car in a dirty barn for years or something, but outside of that not so sure…

Covers outdoors make even less sense. Wind moving the cover will scratch the car for sure.
